[The image is of Equius, standing just outside of a gas station and garage. He's oiling one of a score of weapons that are hanging on the racks behind him. Almost all of them are medieval in style, but a few qualify as somewhat modern, in an early 20th century sense.]

As we have sent others to Utgard for supplies, it dawns upon me that we can expect final onslaughts within the next lunar cycle. Or, at least, i hope to see this war we have spoken so long about. As the last of the Alternians to remain behind, I would not wish to linger here this long and not rain a hailstorm of death upon my foes.

However, I have been stockpiling weapons, equipment and the like for this inevitability with the alchemization abilities that Freyr has graciously donated to my person. Some specific stores such as explosives are depleted entirely in the dealing with that massive ice fissure, and any medical supplies already in the hands of the medics. However, weapons have barely been touched. If you have not gotten weaponry from the armaments available through shrines to new arrivals, speak with me. I will find killing instruments comenserate to your skills. Nobody should be unarmed.

...and if anyone is interested, I wish to attempt one last exploit of note before this is all said and done. Members of Freyr, Heimdall and Freya houses only. I will require engineers, alchemizers and those who can transfer energy.

(OOC: Having inquired previously with the mods, Equius is going to try and build a howitzer, or something close to its equivalent. It's a bit of an undertaking and he doesn't know if he can get more than one, or even get one to work, but he's going to try and see if they can have something slightly more powerful to shell at the enemy on the last days than the ballista on the walls.)

Finally, someone that speaks with a bit of sense. What kind of weapons you hiding there?

Not hiding so much as storing for the war efforts. Alchemization has allowed me to craft a great many materials.

But that's neither here nor there. Most of them are bladed or blunt instruments of personalized destruction, along with ample stock of projectile implements, generally of the archer's persuasion, as I have little love for the impersonality of the whole invention of the crossbow. Fetid waste of good pullies.

Sounds like a good stock. I could do with a couple if you don't have a limit. Might need something for up close as well as the distance.

I can spare a ranged sample and melee. That would not be a problem. The shop is on the road between Freyr and Freya. I will expect you at some point soon, perhaps, unless you needed to ask something ahead of time.

No, this is more of a "I want to be working alongside well-armed soldiers instead of half-wit, unprepared neophytes" sort of thing, not speaking as to your capacities but to my preference for well-equipped soldiers. I've had these weapons for some time.

If you insist on some sort of repayment we can discuss sparring afterwards.

[He was easy to find. There really weren't many gas stations in town to begin with. Only a few people had licenses to ride bikes and fewer still had the money or desire to bother, so cornering the market had been deceptively easy. Damned lucrative at the lonely top.

Equius Zahhak. I presume you are here about the weaponry, yes? [He motioned back towards one of the closets and started walking in that direction. Covered in a black tank-top and jeans, the ungainly youth of a troll was built. There were college age centers and defensive linemen who would have wanted the kind of physique he had, bristling with almost over-defined muscle. His eyes were hidden behind his customary shades and the dusky gray of his skin stood out oddly considering that he didn't act at all 'gray' like the others. Of course, those candy-corn colored horns were a good indication that it was just that he wasn't human.

As he walked, he grunted over his shoulder.]

The compressed animal detritus depot serves the function of giving me the capital to continue my passions of engineering on at least a basic level. It keeps my limbs busy as well. I am better off occupied.

[He nodded back to her as they entered into the garage portion of the shop. He had several racks set up with various items there. Pulling out a piece of paper, he scrawled out an axe on it and pulled the weapon from the paper, full and normal looking, made of solid metals.]

So what, anything you put on that paper you can just get?

Certain limits exist, such as with proper technological inventions, but generally speaking the items I conjure with it are as real as anything else so long as I do not will them to cease to exist.

I'll have to make sure I keep you on my good books, make sure my weapons don't stop working.

So what do you want back? Other than that fight.

I believe that you misunderstand. I have been here nearly two solar cycles by this world's reckoning, and have been fashioning equipment nearly non-stop with the aid of potions and various boostings at key moments. Repayment would be largely futile, unless you wished to say a favor for a favor down the road. I have more than enough runes for my personal purposes, and reimbursement would ultimately be a bit foolish with this amount of stockpile. I simply prefer armed compatriots to unarmed.

A favor and a spar would be sufficient.

By all means. There should be ample selection to decide between, and you're more than welcome to something for close and ranged combat. Diversification is necessary at times.

An ... associate of mine was suffering a condition like yours for almost as long as I knew her. She relied on smell, but that isn't important here. Her preference was for bladed weapons. I would suggest either a sword with an easy hilt and double-bladed edge, or a blunt instrument.

So, yes, I believe I can assist you.

I don't think swords are my thing. I like smashing stuff to pieces.

Heavy melee instruments are available. Staff-kind, Hammer-kind, Mace-kind... yes, we can find weapons as you prefer. Do you require something be brought to you?

What humans refer to as gasoline is a fuel derived from the liquified and compressed corpses of long dead creatures. It burns easily and ... well, not cleanly, but we don't have many options here.

A fuel for mechanized constructions. You are familiar with the idea of ... glob, what do you humans call it? You are familiar with the idea of burning a liquid oil to produce heat, yes?

Exactly. Well, this fuel is used to produce small explosive force from heat that pushes metal pistons, creating force that is transferred to rotary articles for propelling the vehicle at speeds greater than humans are capable of walking.

Unless they are in Thor house of course.
