[Voice | D516, after the fiasco with the sea serpent]
It has come to my attention that in light of recent events, we have had little enough time to ourselves. Naturally, this is only to be expected in a time of war. However, we must not lose sight of ourselves in the midst of all this havoc, and I therefore have a proposal for the women of Asgard.
Would anyone, perhaps, be interested in joining me for an evening of light entertainment? We have precious little time before everything comes crashing down around our ears, and I wish to attempt to use some of that time to get to know my fellow ladies-in-arms a bit more.

[voice]
I would simply love to, Ellie.
[voice]
I mean, sure, let's do it! I've- got the money, I guess, I'll meet up with you over in Baldr?
[Insert some directions here. She seems happy, but as if she didn't expect this.]
[voice]
Very well, Ellie. What time?
[voice]
[voice]
I shall be there shortly.
Re: [voice]
[It's hard to hear, but that's all there is before she hangs up.
A little later, Ellie can be found in the back of the arcade, trying to put exactly the perfect spin on the ski-ball to get it into the center hole. She's got it centered, but the right amount of strength seemed to elude her.]
[voice]
Goodness, what's this?
[voice]
Jeans, a long-sleeved t-shirt, flat sensible boots. A lump shows in the small of her back, another in her pocket. Weapons, if Mari cares to look.
She holds out the ball. It's much heavier than it looks, solid.]
Ski-ball. Try to roll it, get it in the baskets. Go on, give it a shot.
[voice]
Very well.
[So she tries... and fails. Miserably.]
Drat!
[voice]
[Ellie starts laughing, but gets behind her, picking up another ball.]
Here, try to let it roll off your fingers. You have to give it a little heft, so it pops up at the end of the lane.
[She shows Mari the arm motion, then hands her the ball again.]
Here, try again.
[voice]
[But she laughs, too, and watches Ellie's movements before trying again. This one is... a little better, at least.]
My, but this is harder than it looks.
[voice]
You're telling me. I'm a good shot with a brick, but this is hard.
[voice]
Quite. I wonder if there's some sort of trick to it.
[She tries again, this time doing only marginally better than before.]
[voice]
-hey that was better. It took me a while to get the hang of even that much.
[voice]
it's still quite difficult, I assure you.
[voice]
Go on, make it count.
[voice]
This is where having an abnormally high Luck stat comes in handy.]Oh, my...
[She really hadn't been expecting that.]
[voice]
Re: [voice]
Well, I have always been lucky. I just did not expect this.
[voice]
Okay, if you're that lucky at something like this, let's go play a two-player fighter.
[Leading the way, she steers them over to a machine in the back, where she pops in coins.]
So, you choose what character you want. I'm going for the purple ninja girl with all the knives. ... this is your joystick. Just move it whatever way you want to go. This is your punch, your kick, your throw.
[Patiently, Ellie explains the buttons, already brightly excited. Long ago, Riley did much the same thing for her.]
[voice]
What an odd machine. However does it work?
[She's not particularly interested in technology, true, but she is curious about other worlds - and this is clearly not of her own world.
She selects a girl in pink with a staff, and pays close attention to Ellie's instructions.]
[voice]
[Brightly, Ellie presses a few buttons as the fight screen starts up, showing Maribelle how it makes her character move and throw blows.]
Try pressing the punch button three times.
[voice]
[She's had a classical education, Ellie, she doesn't know about science.]
Oh! So this causes them to do something other than punching! I see. How very interesting.
[voice]
... because that's the only free shot you're getting.
