Action:

There's a stray kid wandering around the city today, a lanky young boy - when did he even get here? He looks lost, baffled, and more than a little wary and scared. He shouldn't be here! This place is grey, it's ugly, and more than anything, it's not his home.

Every so often, he stops and looks in shop windows as he passes them. Toy shops and craft shops, mostly. Trying to pretend like he isn't looking at that stuff, though; he's going to be a man about it! He doesn't need the cute stuff! He doesn't need to look at the singing flowers, or the weird bunnies or that stuff, either...
(Fooling no-one.)

In time, he can be found seated on a bench in the park, fiddling around with a bracelet that he's not sure how he got. Okay, it's very pretty, but - ]

[Poke, poke. The transmission flicks off, then shortly on again, with a slightly less surprised looking kid.]

Uh ... hi...

I can talk to people on here, right? Um... so [nervously, he almost mutters-] ...has anyone seen my parents? Their names are Hayao and Aiko Tatsumi... Ma? Dad? Are you here too? I'm - I'm in the park and I'm not sure where everything is... where am I?

[Maribelle stops dead in her tracks, her eyes narrowing at yet another child here. Alone, at that! That won't do at all. She strides up to the boy and looks at him, eyes narrowing as she takes in how very small he is.

Then her face softens.]

Oh, my stars and garters, are you really here all by yourself?

[What's this lady looking at him like that for? He gives all the annoyed look a young face can for a moment, before giving her a slightly shy and nervous nod on that question. Don't be mad?]

[She leans in closer to him, worry written on her face as she inspects the boy. Well, he doesn't seem hurt, at least.]

Well, then, I shan't leave you all by yourself. What is your name, dear?

[Adachi had a doughnut hanging from his mouth and a coffee in his hand as he headed down the street, keeping an eye out for the strange and unusual like a good member of the City Patrol should. Of course, he got treated to that almost right away on his shift when he saw the little Japanese kid pining over a toy shop display. Geeze, those damn gods pulled in another pipsqueak? This was so not right on several levels.]

Hey there, kiddo.

[He knelt down so he was at the boy's level, offering him a faint smile.]

D'ya just show up here?

[Adult help? Well... this guy seems nice enough? Right? Still, he's a little shy as he nods at the question.]

[It's one big blur. He was - at home, right? And then, and then... things got fuzzy.]

[Poor kid looked like a nervous wreck. He almost felt bad for him, but luckily he knew how to get a kid to calm down. Adachi reached into his jacket pocket, pulling out his badge and flipping it open for the kid to see, before handing it to him.]

[Keeping to his word, Minato finally left his room and is now on patrol. He's not exactly happy today, but with how unreadable his expressions are, it's hard to tell how.

When he sees the kid, there's barely any reaction from him. A slight raise in his eyes, and a light concern in his face as he realizes the boy is alone. He approaches the kid listening to the flowers, not saying anything but his presence alone should get his attention.]

Grey Wind, to me, [comes the impatient call, and the wolf turns away to trot back up to Robb, dressed in a grey shirt and blue trousers, a sword hanging from his belt. He bends down to ruffle Grey Wind's fur, tell him to stay, all right, before drawing himself up again to walk over to the boy.]

He'll not hurt you. [It's almost automatic, by now, to assure someone that, no, the deadly direwolf following him around won't hurt them. He crouches down to meet the boy's gaze, gives him a polite smile.] Have you only just arrived?

Not working. (Nice fur, though.) He just stares at it, nervous, until its owner approaches.]

[Grey Wind doesn't seem to take much note of Kanji, which is for the best--the boy's only just arrived, after all, and Robb figures he may as well try his hand at making him feel as welcome as possible. And get him where he's supposed to be, on top of that.]

Aye, I thought much the same when I came here. [Granted, gods be good I'm dead was an addition, but he deigns not to mention that part. No need to, after all.] Do you know where you'll be staying?

After briefly pausing to note that he is indeed playing around with a Traveler's bracelet (Freyr's colors, even...) she walks up to him, putting on the brightest smile she can manage.]

Pretty sad, isn't it? Even for a shortage. Ha, but I guess you can't blame people for caring more about other stuff.

[Why does Yosuke bother approaching the little boy peering into a particularly dilapidated shop window when he has other places to be? It's not because he's noticed the bracelet just yet. If pressed, he'd say that something about the sight inexplicably made him feel bad - and heck, talking to a lost kid was a kind of welcoming, wasn't it? He's practically still on the job.]
