[ Isaac getting sent home not so long ago prepared Scott for this. It was a reminder that he couldn't expect those closest to him to always be there and not because they didn't want to be, but because that's how Asgard worked.
Although there were things he wished he'd said to Isaac, it made Scott realize that he needed to tell Stiles everything he wanted him to know, like how sorry he was for having a dumb fight with him and how much he loved him. It's why he's not upset as everyone might expect him to be because of the private conversation they had. He's obviously sad Stiles is no longer around, but he'd be sadder if he'd gotten sent home before they had a chance to make up.
