I had no reason to believe otherwise, previously.

They just pick people up from their own worlds without asking and drag them into this war, whether or not they'd be suited for combat. It seems pretty dickish to me.

I don't know if all of them were for that but I know I've been told that some of the gods are pretty okay.

We'll see if he follows through.

I don't see why he wouldn't. It's not like it would benefit him to not follow through.

A civilian kid with no fighting ability doesn't benefit the war effort in the first place.

That's the part I don't get. There's no rhyme or reason to any of this.

[ He sighs, propping his chin up on one hand and glancing off into space. ]

I don't think they know what they're doing, either.

But in comics and video games some of the protagonists can't do shit and then they're able to be really awesome. So I guess they might see something.

I'm not saying you have no potential if you have no combat skills. But the way they go about things just seems really stupid.

[ It doesn't sound like he needs to convince Riley, though. And it really doesn't sound like he's upset with her anymore, either. He just sounds... kind of tired.

If he feels like he didn't sign up for this and wants to go home, it must be even worse for people who aren't even used to this kind of environment, people who are terrified on top of it all. ]

Anyone can have potential. Even without the combat skills. All those do is help.

Apparently, there's a pretty good training arena here. I checked it out a few days ago.
