STICKY: IC MASS-CONTACT POST FOR GROUPS

[ OOC: This post is here to facilitate IC interaction between the organized groups in Asgard. Think of it as an in-character version of this plotting post. Please feel free to use this as much as you need!

How it Works: Think of this like a very basic message board. Each group will have a subject heading in the comments, and only members of that group will be able to see what is in that thread. There is no locking or privating of messages between individual characters in this post. Just like a message board, all characters who have access to a thread will be able to see everything in it. Of course, feel more than free to take conversations to inboxes or logs - we want it to be easy to build CR from this!

This is an alternative to having to send out a dozen IC inbox messages. ICly, this is just a group messaging feature, to kick around ideas and to make communication and CR-building between group members easier.

If you're interested in getting more involved in group things, we recommend that you track the headers relevant to you! As always, if you have any questions, please let us know. ]

Oh, do you need some help? Or better yet, do you know where the Odin district is? Hm...would it be better to meet at the library? I think it would be easier to meet up from there! Or is there a specific place you want us to meet?

[She didn’t mind telling her. She was use to telling people where to go back home anyway]

Um...sort of? It’s more of a saying that no matter how old you are, you can always learn something new! It’s something like that?

The library, perhaps? I do know my way there, at least.

But we are hardly old, darling. In fact, it's quite the opposite.

No, that's not... [Ahhh, what was she even doing?] Actually, nevermind, just forget what I said.

But that's great you know where the library is! So um...I'll see you there then?

[Just as Fuuka promised, it didn't take her long for her to appear in the library. As she looked around, she couldn't help but wonder if she was late. Goodness, she thought to herself, she hoped that her new friend didn't get lost. Perhaps she should have told her the location a little better?

Who knows but now she just had to wait and hope for the best]

I hope she's not lost... [Fuuka mumbled to herself]

[Maribelle was, in fact, not far behind Fuuka. She entered the library, immediately spotting the other girl, and headed straight for her.]

Greetings. I presume you are Fuuka?

[As Fuuka turned around, she immediately flashed a smile toward her.]

That's correct and I'm guessing you are Maribelle-san? It's nice to meet you in person! I hope that it wasn't difficult for you to find the library!

Yes, I am. It's a pleasure to meet you. [She curtseys gracefully, as she usually does during an introduction. It's only polite, after all.]

Not at all, thank you.

[Fuuka wasn't expecting that! As she gave her a bow, the other girl couldn't help but be frazzled just a bit. Yes, she bowed all the time for others but it was a little different when someone was doing it to her!]

Ah...you don't need to do that! Just a simple hello would do or a handshake?

Goodness, no. It would hardly be becoming if I simply discarded my manners.

But you don't need to be so formal around me, I think it will be okay?

[But you're no different Fuuka! You can be over polite too!]

[Brain break. She has no idea how to be informal, you have no idea.]

... I beg your pardon?

[Oh boy, this was going to be one interesting conversation wasn’t it?]

Um, you can just give me your hand and we can just introduce ourselves that way? I don’t it is difficult but if you are uncomfortable with it, I don’t mind it though!

[Just...it will take some time getting use to being someone who was so formal…]

I... very well, then.

[After a few moments, she gracefully offers her hand to Fuuka - but palm down, as though she half-expects her to kiss it. She was perfectly willing to exchange greetings with the other girl in this manner, but was this truly what was normal in her world?]

[For a few moments, Fuuka stared at it wondering what else to do. She was wondering why it was faced that way but she eventually grabbed it from the other side with her hand to shake it.

So that wasn't so hard was it? [...yeah about that...]

[So, so awkward. Maribelle simply stared at the gesture, unable to comprehend it.]

I... don't believe so, no.

That’s what they call a handshake back in my world. It’s a way to greet other people without bowing to one another. We don’t have to be so formal but there are times you have to do that to your superiors.

But I’m not one of them, I’m just your friend?

[Or at least she hopes so!]

Oh! Goodness, what a quaint custom. Is it how all plebeians greet one another, or is it also practiced by the nobility?

[She's not trying to be insulting, Fuuka, she really isn't.]

Friend? Why, gracious me, how very sweet. Well, then... yes. I would very much like to become friends with you.

Um...I don't think it really matters? Nobility still reigns in different countries but they do greet one another in this matter.

[....Yeah, Fuuka has no idea how to address that]

But I suppose I can teach you later more about this as soon as we're done our training?

[Between teaching Equius about 'dating' and Maribelle about how to be casual? This had been one interesting stay here in Asgard. Good thing she was normally so patient.]

And they don't bow? How very odd.

[She laughs, then, as though amused.]

Very well. I will gladly accept this "training" from you, as well.

Only on special occasions such as meeting for the first time or if there is someone who is far higher rank than you are. Of course, the only time I've seen it happen is when both people are in business

Then shall we get started? You can teach me more about to fight and defend myself while I teach you how to be more informal?

I don't think it's that much different, it's just different in how we greet people now.
