D482 // Video - Group project
[The shuffling of papers and some sort of metallic object getting the last few details hammered into it could be heard in the background before a few friendly faces appeared on the screen.]
Buon pomeriggio Asgard!
Aladdin, Tony Stark and I have been working on a project for a few weeks now and I think we are to the stage where we could use some help with it. That is if anyone interested in a light weight armor with the added protection of runes? We could use a few volunteers to test the design.
We need people with all sorts of different shapes and body types for this. It's important to get all information we can so this will work.
[Aladdin says over his shoulder, he is doing a few last minute checks on the rune work.]
Si, just as he says. So would any of you be willing?

As we all must. No one is ever really 'normal' anyway.
[He will just be throwing that tea into the nearest sink before gathering the tray and heading over to where the others were still working. ]
I should show you the armor now.
no subject
Yeah, let's go ahead and see this armor. That is what you guys brought me over for anyway, isn't it?
no subject
Here it is! Try your best to destroy it?
no subject
Do we have a hammer around here, a sledgehammer preferably?
no subject
[Leonardo cast a look quickly around the shop but found only the small hammer one of the men had earlier left behind... on a chair of all places. So pencil and paper were produced and a few minutes after a quick drawing the sledge hammer she had asked for flew from the page to land by her feet on the floor.]
Here, this is simpler than trying to hunt one down... if Messer Stark even has one.

You need to get one of Thor's in to test this. You really do.
no subject
[Quite pleased with the results so far he practically ran over to the armor once she had bashed the thing as many times as she pleased, just to check for himself to see how it had fared. ]
Not even a scratch! I am very impressed with these runes, it must be the hardness one doing most of the work.
I suppose all that is left to do is to test the fire resistance of the armor.
no subject
[She pulled out the stone with the rune on it and showed it to him.]
After the fire, we can test explosions.
no subject
[Oh he was well aware Thor would smash something like this as easily as glass but there was no harm in being lighthearted about it all. ]
If we are to be doing testing like that we should probably move the operation out to a field. I do not believe Messer Stark would enjoy having his workshop destroyed.

I've got some fuel. We can try lighting it on fire in a dusty space and see if it singes at all before testing the explosives. Sound good?
no subject
[He hurried over to where there was a large metal, it almost looked like a trash bin but more oval in shape. ]
We can place the armor and your fire gear in here. That should keep it from spreading while we run the test.
no subject
You guys put protections up for fire, right?
no subject
[Which he now remembered he should have mentioned before the fire was set, but oh well. If they wanted to test how it protected something placed inside it from ire they would have to wait and see if it survived this first.]
no subject
It should cover the armor itself and straps. Otherwise it wouldn't be good after one or two uses of the power.
no subject
[Leonardo rubbed at his beard as he watched the smoke waft up from the those bits of armor that had been the least protected. ]
On the straps in particular it could use more protection. I will bring the suggestion up to the others when they have a moment.
no subject
[She put the armor carefully back in and held out the rune.]
I'm going to put this in, and when I do, the charge primes in thirty seconds. So keep your distance.
no subject
When ever you are ready.
[He was ready to dive for cover!]
no subject
Twenty seconds...
(OOC: Your call on effectiveness of an explosive run here. They're basically incendiary magic grenades I think.)
no subject
And then it went off, sending little bits of leather strapping flying off into the air. They had already been identified as a weakness so when a charred bit of the stuff landed in front of the artist's toe he was not surprised.]
Si, the straps! We knew they would likely fail.
[He stood and inched cautiously over to the smoldering armor. ]
The rest looks to be in pretty decent condition! We will just have to reinforce those straps...
no subject
What about metal joints?
no subject
[He hurried over to a large scrap of paper that had already been littered with notes from Aladdin and Tony... and drew there a jointed metal piece. ]
If I added several hinges to the metal then it could become more flexible. The more hinges the more flexible it would be.
