If I could please speak with members of the emergency response team as soon as you are able to reply, that would be splendid. After speaking another member of the city patrol, Jane Crocker, on a few matters we have decided that will need as many willing members as possible.

[She is quick to move on to her next subject. This is more matter of fact.]

I would advise everyone who does not feel confident in their ability to defend themselves to stay inside until our situation at hand has been deciphered, though I know that is better said than done nor does it really beg to be repeated. If you decide to leave your welcome houses or your apartments, be safe and aware of your surroundings.

[One more thing-]

If anyone knows a good place to acquire a firearm, I would be appreciative. Better to be safe than sorry.

I don't know if Asgard is the kind of place to have firearms, but I hope you're able to find one.
I can only assume you know how to use one if you're asking around.

When I was doing extensively more dangerous work in my field I was taught how to use one. Defending yourself is priority.

I am sure I will find one somewhere- if not then I can fall back on using the weapons I can conjur from shadows.

With so much going on there has to be a weapon shop of some kind, right? They can't expect us to defend ourselves with just the powers we gained under our houses. [because she's still learning how to use hers.]

We could only hope that would be the case. There are those that have powers that are useless in times like these. What are they to do if they are unable to defend themselves?

Or useless because they don't know how to use them... [siiiiigh.] I suppose all they can do is try to stay out of harm's way. Maybe they should learn to use a proper weapon too if there's anyone around willing to teach them.

I know there are plenty that are willing to teach if you have the time to learn. Unfortunately we have not really uncovered the source behind this weather yet, so we are all unsure of how to actually prepare for what may be to follow.

Then I take it this kind of weather change hasn't ever happened before. Even if we don't know what's coming we can certainly prepare for it by being cautious like you advised. If a place to get weapons can be found that's even better. Maybe I should try learning how to use a real one just in case...

Not that I can recall. I have not been here for as long as many other people here, but what I do know is that when things get bad [she pauses] they get bad.

If you haven't advanced your powers yet, you can ask at your shrine. There are blessings if you're willing to ask them, and one of the ones for people still at the basics is a weapon.

I have heard you may ask the shrine for a firearm.

I have not yet advanced my powers. I know that I honestly should have done so, thinking back on it. Not that I could really fix that now.

It can be as ominous as I am making it sound or it could be harmless. [Picture the worst things and then you won't be scared. Or something like that. Because the worst things usually don't happen.] As organized as we all can be.

I have been instructed that if you go to the shrine, you may ask for a weapon.

I see! That makes sense. And yes, I agree completely, especially in a place like this.

You can conjure things from the shadows? What kind of things?

You can still practice. There's always time until there's not, but in the meantime you can get a gun from the shrine. That at least is simple.

Bullets? You might ask a Freyr if you can't find a shop.

Saying something like this is also a little ominous. [It's like she's doing that on purpose... but Yukiko stays calm. She has friends here to stick with at least.]

Ah! That's good to know. Any weapon? I suppose going there is the only way to find out.

Jane and I were thinking that we could hold a meeting at her home for both the City patrol and the Emergency Response Team. The situation may become dire and the chance to plan would be right now.

Weapons, if I so choose. But Ia m very limited with my skill. I have received some extra training, but not quite enough to hone my power more.

[Kirigiri knows that sometimes she has to be the bearer of bad news, and she feels sorry for it when she actually thinks about it. But not this time. Not if she can forewarn and save someone's life potentially.]

That is your choice if you see it fit to view my words as ominous.

[Kirigiri hums in thought.] If they are liable to give over firearms, I do not see why they would deny a blade.

I will be on the lookout for ammunition.

There's been a lot of preparations over time. The people here are getting just about as ready for a fight as they can be. I don't think they're ready yet, so I'm hoping this isn't the last stand.

But it has to come soon.

The end of this whole war, do you think it is near?

The tree is dying. There's only so much time left before the roots are cut and the whole thing collapses. Like it or not, end game is coming. You can hear it whisper in your mind sometimes...
