[Oh, you. Syhon's smile only makes him all the more obvious, but that's a card he's gladly playing against Samantha. He makes sure he shrugs at her and puts on Katie's best innocent tone.]

[It has as much as anything to do with the fact that Katie struggled with this situation as it did her normal personality, but either way, it was effective. She swallowed thickly and sat down, lips curling into the rictus of a growl.
