Um, hi everyone. I have a question... [ Madoka pops onto the feed with a black cat snoozing on her lap and an icepack balance precariously on her head. She looks as though she hasn't been sleeping well. ]

Has anyone else felt sick, lately? I know people were having memory problems, and hearing sad voices, but I'm wondering if it was just me. I usually don't get fevers or stuff like that, but this is...um, concerning. There's no way I can shoot straight with this kind of vertigo. [ a tiny sigh, and adjusting the ice pack ] And it hasn't gone away.

O-Oh, but I'm not saying this to worry anyone...! Just in case. All things considered, I think I'm doing okay.

[ she makes to disconnect the feed before thinking a moment, and adding quietly ] And Homura-chan, Sayaka-chan, Mami-san, Kyouko-san, Ikezawa-san, if any of you guys are still here...please give me a call, okay? Thank you.

A lot of people seem to be feeling unwell lately, though I think it's been mostly restricted to aching pain and nausea. As far as I can tell, it's been affecting those of us who've only just recently arrived here. Have you been here long?

Oh, well, that makes sense, I guess. I came back a week or two ago, yes.

[grudgebreaker]

Then... it might be safe to say you're experiencing what the rest of the newcomers are feeling. I don't think anything can... be done about it. Most of us have had to grin and bear it since it doesn't seem like a normal sickness. Especially when you consider everything else it's been coupled with....

Oh... [ frowning ] I guess that's something I should have expected. At least I didn't lose any memories.

If it's okay to ask, while you were away... you didn't... end up seeing the destruction of your world or anything like that, did you?

[ for a few seconds, Madoka's expression shifts into utter horror. How did he--no. He couldn't have known. There was no way. No one knew about what happened back home except for her, the other four, and Kyuubey. It was just paranoia. His question was related to things going on here in Asgard. Not anything that had already happened.

Her response comes out extremely flat and lifeless: ] No, I didn't.

[grudgebreaker]

[ He's worried at first when he sees her expression change, and though he's not entirely convinced... it's still a lot better than hearing a yes. Maybe something else happened back home.... ]

That's a relief. A while ago, there was a man who made an announcement. He said he'd been home, only to watch it crumble away... said it was proof that we all have to fight. I'm glad the same thing didn't happen to you. That it's... not a pattern.

[It certainly is, yes. But he seems to at least not mind that he's stuck halfway between a cat and man, by appearances.]

A-Ah, I meant physical, um...Cat-san? [ does she address you as a cat or a person she just Doesn't Know, I mean this guy is talking like a human but there's no way he's a 100% human she is so confused ]

[He's never been particularly bothered by how he's being addressed. But he can at least make things a little easier in the long run.]

Chessur-san, then. [ awkwardly looking to the side how do i proceed with a conversation with a cat-man ] It's, ah, nice to meet you...

[He might not offer much of any idea of how to proceed with conversation, but he doesn't seem to be offended either.]

A lot of people haven't been feeling well lately, and everyone's having really scary dreams and trouble sleeping.

They're starting to remember what they forgot though.

N-Nightmares, too...?! [ gulping ] I got off easy, then.

Oh, I didn't mean to worry you more! A-and everything you're going through is pretty bad too, a lot worse than a bad dream. [Yuiko pokes the ends of her fingers together, she really didn't mean to make it sound that way.]

If you're not feeling well though I know a few of the healers here that might be able to help.

No, no, please, it's fine! [ one long trail of apologies. how to compromise, let her think... ] Um, they're all really bad. So maybe none of us were really all that lucky.

[ she shakes her head ] Nnn-nnn, I think I'll be okay. It's not much worse than a bad head cold.

[Yuiko nods.] But maybe that means something good is on the way. Mom always said that good things have to come and balance out the bad.

Sort of. I want to say I've been here for four months or so, but...I think a lot of time has passed since then.

I guess? [ biting her lip in thought ] I think I've been asleep longer, though.

[ Jade's tone is soft, careful, but earnestly sympathetic. ]

A-Ah, well, it's fine! I'm sure I'll see them again, sooner or later.

Well, you're definitely right! But that doesn't always make missing them any easier. [ And then, belatedly- ] Hi, by the way, I'm Jade.

[heartfeltfancy]

[ for a moment, her shoulders droop and she looks quite down. but almost immediately afterward she smiles again ] A-And I can make new ones, too, I guess.

[ the best bow she can muster while sitting with a sleeping cat in her lap ] It's nice to meet you, Jade-san. My name is Madoka.

[nukeoleptic]

[ Whoops. Jade flips her audio feed to video, smiling a little sheepishly as she tips her head forward with a smile. She's not blind to the way her shoulders dropped, even if it was just briefly; she probably needs to watch her phrasing a little more. ]

I've made some of the best friends I've ever, ever had here, and I never would've had the chance to meet them if I didn't come. I bet you will, too.

[ well, she has a point. Hanako wasn't from her world, and she was a pretty great friend. But her and Rose were really the only ones Madoka spoke to on a regular basis that weren't from her world, come to think of it. ]

Wehihihi, well, it's good to keep my options open. Maybe I should keep a better eye on the network...

[ Oh, Hanako. Jade misses her and Fluttershy so, so much sometimes, especially as things sort of steamroll out of control here. She smiles regardless at Madoka, twitching one fluffy white dog ear at her. ]

Hehehe. I should probably do the same... I don't pay as much attention as I used to. I'm Jade, by the way.
