Moving Party! [video]
[He's sitting on the floor of an empty room, holding a piece of paper in his lap. The sun is barely starting to peek through the window behind him, and the corner of a neatly rolled bundle of blankets is visible beside.]
I've been bid by miss Gallagher to invite you all to a moving-in party at Odin 107 this afternoon. [He glances at the paper again.] There'll be dinner and a movie - the adventures of John Wayne or somesuch, I think - waiting for those of you who earn it.
[And you do have to earn it. Roland gives the screen the gimlet eye for a pointed, silent moment before cutting the screen off. Freeloaders will be prosecuted. This means you.]
[Yes, you.]
[You know who you are.]
((ooc: You can comment to the message itself or just have your character drop by! The log for that can be found under a header in the comments below. If your character is looking for Fiona or Roland specifically (or both) leave their name in the subject line of your comment. Feel free to thread-jack, mingle, all that stuff. It is a party, after all, even though Roland might not have made it sound like one.))

actual moving activities
No dinner or movies are apparent. Well, they're around, but they're hidden. No relaxing for any of you just yet.

Fiona is sorting through her things at the storage locker. There's a fair amount of water damage, so feel free to spot her cursing inventively as she throws out the furniture no longer fit for service. There's a growing pile of sodden linens, and Fiona seems to be attempting to move a ruined mattress out onto the curb. Care to help her?
Scenario 2
At the apartment in Odin, Fiona's getting everything set up. She's pushing a table around the kitchen, trying to figure out where it looks best. Feel free to give advice on where it should go, or help her push it around, or point and laugh. And have fun with the creaking noise it makes whenever she shoves it across the linoleum.

"Hi!" She pokes her head in the door and finds not Roland but...well, she guesses maybe this is the "Miss Gallagher" he mentioned on the screen, or maybe someone else helping out. "I'm here to help move things in."

Should I make some sort of comment about you moving in with a girl? Or maybe bring presents?
no subject
The girl would have something to say about such comments. [He pulls at the desk, grunting, then walks around to its other side to see whatever it's caught on.] But the presents wouldn't be turned away.
[Hunkered behind the desk, he glances pointedly at Stiles' empty arms. You haven't actually brought any presents, have you? You tease.]

Advil. For the, uh, next time you get your ass handed to you for drinking. Plus it's good for regular headaches.

dinner and a show

Fiona is cooking while the film starts up. There's a food shortage, yeah, but Fiona tends to buy non-perishables in bulk whenever she shops. She's got enough pasta and canned goods to make a nice little lasagne for everyone who's helped out with the move. Before she starts, she calls out, "Hey, anybody allergic to anything? Speak now, or forever hold your peace."
Scenario 2
Later, when the lasagne's all done, she puts it out on a card table in the living room. Fiona is finally free to sit down and watch the film with everybody else. "So, we figure out who shot the guy yet?"
It's kind of been a while since she watched this one.
ETA because I like to note details like this

[The disdain is audible in his voice.]
You couldn't even go with Bond?
If you'd rather hear the tale of your Bond instead, you're free to bring it.
I'm just reminding you that you've got options. Ones that don't suck.
[That comment could have been more tactful.]
Who would seriously choose cowboys over international spies anyway?
no subject
I thought Mr. Wayne was a sheriff. [But there's a point of deeper interest here.] Your world tells stories of spies?
