Day 434 :: Video :: 009

[He's obviously somewhere up high, because there is just sky behind him, but whatever roof he's chosen to climb up onto it's obviously not so steady - if it bothers him particularly, it doesn't show, but just after the video starts, he wobbles, and the view slips forward as the bracelet rolls around his arm.

It does a 360, and briefly falls on the mushroom house he's taken up residence in.

Hey, er - everyone.

Whole place is really startin' to look a whole load better right? Reckon we all did a good job, lookin' after the people that got lost, and givin' back stuff, giving people places to sleep and whatever.

S'gotta show everyone what we can do when people're workin' together'ttebayo!

So... you know, I reckon we can do this. The war stuff.

[She's not a very optimistic person, not by a long shot. But she knows even now she has to be because she wants to see travelers succeed. Especially those younger than him and by the looks of it, he appears to be that way. She lets out a soft sigh.]

So as long as we properly pool our resources.

[He's young, sure - but also highly strung, and motivated. A bunch of other stuff too.

Her sigh isn't the most encouraging, exactly - but she's got the idea.]

[Only because Alice is trying to be nice about this for once. Damn it, Asgard, and your large number of teenagers.]

We'll need more than hopeful words and cooperation for that to happen. Even then, there are some - including myself - with little or no experience.

Like, you know, I dunno - you could learn to use somethin' to protect yourself, right?

Anyone is capable of defending themselves with thorough training, but what will make them mentally prepared? Sometimes a mind can be fragile, it will break with frequent stress.

I suppose we better start preparing not only physically, but mentally.

Working together does help, but that is not all...the stuff war is.

Everyone's got pretty good powers though.

Powers or not, young one, not all the Travellers know how to fight. Growing a flower will hardly save them from a sword or an arrow.

Not everyone can fight, okay but-- they'll be like, making food. Yeah? Out of plants and stuff.

This stuff of yours seems flexible.

[Big surprise Dirk is on a roof too. He's repairing this one though. Dirk raises an eyebrow but he's used to Naruto by now.]

The problem isn't the war 'stuff'. It's in Finding out more so we're not constantly attacked. Or at least, better informed when we are. We should find a way to give the gods a boost too. In the long run that could help all of us.
