I believe this may be an opportune time to mention that I have potions available which eliminate hangover symptoms.

I am not fond of them either.

I think it was a beautiful idea, though.

It was. I have seen many funeral practices over times and cultures and this was a pleasant one, as much as can be said about a funeral.

And because it's so easy to live without serious contact with the locals-

I deal with the native often, myself; I work at the hospital.

I'm at the clinic, actually, but not very often- and I do more work in a battlefield context, where the powers put travelers on the front lines.

Ah. Yes, that is an important role; what is your power?

Ice. It's been good so far. I can keep people off us while I work, and the more conventionally talented healers do their craft.

Ah. I had that power briefly when they became... Scrambled.

That's a very useful power, but an exhausting one. I have to admit, I don't envy you.
