[ she had left merlin to deal with the things her brother had managed, had gone to the citadel once and then again to look around and try to think what she might do with the place. the woman of asgard were not village women, they were warriors in part. but in part, they were ladies and learned-women. if she can teach them to fight then why not.

but the longer she sits in her room and thinks of it the more something begins to form in her mind and by the time it finally sets in, she knows what she must do. she ought to address the city formally and yet she thinks they might see (the lines of worry, the signs of heartbreak); and so so conceals the pain behind a text. ]

People of Asgard, I hope this finds you well.

I will not speak to you of the departure of my brother, for Merlin had spoken of it and has addressed all that must have been addressed. I do not come to you with offers of employment nor with announcements of any sorts for I know you have heard those already.

I come to you as my brother's sister and the last Pendragon to still linger within the borders of Asgard. We were three once, you might remember. There was the king, my brother Arthur who was King of Camelot after him and myself.

My brother held no formal alliances in this land, he had no sworn knights that I know of, no wards that I heard word of. Yet I know, as I have known Arthur for many years, that he has sought to help all those he met and in doing so, I am certain he had aided many in the city. There are many who would miss him nearly as much as I.

For those who my brother had sought to help, for those he held in his favor, I offer the same. I cannot retrieve my brother from his duties in Camelot. I can, however, as the last Pendragon in Asgard, keep true to his efforts and offer my favor to all those he had before his departure. If you require my aid, my comfort or my favor, you may address me and I shall do my best to offer you the same my brother would have. I know he would have wanted as much, I do not mean to fail him.

I would be very grateful if you shall seek me if the need arises. I can be found in the Citadel or at Thor District. If the Gods of Asgard are reading these words; on behalf of my brother, I offer sympathies for the slumber of Odin and I offer my aid to Thor who now rules in his place.

if your brother is a king, how are you just a lady?

I call my brother because he had never treated me as less. Yet he is only my half-brother if one looks upon blood. I suppose I ought to be grateful,

That his father had made this bastard girl a lady. I was never crowned a princess. I do not doubt Arthur would have let me but I never cared much for it.

I didn't know him, your brother. but Merlin has shown me kindness well enough.

Your south sounds much like my Camelot. I have earned my title only because giving it to me was better than admitting what I was. I did not know I was the daughter of a king before I came here, you must realize. It was my brother who gave me this truth.

He is a good man, Arthur is. And Merlin as well, any friend of his is a friend of mine. Whatever kindness he had offered, I will offer the same.

Your lands. They sound as if they are much better than my own.

[Mostly because she dislikes the text function Leeloo uses her video. She looks upset, reasonably so, she was close to Arthur and she knew his father. So the mention is not lost on her.]

[ arthur spoken much of what it means to be a king and morgana had scoffed and conquered and hurt and burned. but that is camelot and in asgard, she had learned different lessons. she looks at the message for a long time, thinks of the woman who would snarl and lash and shifts herself into the woman that she wants to be now.

(don't slip. don't stumble, it's a soft reminder in the back of her mind in the voice of Arthur) ]

You and I had our many disagreements, Harry Potter and perhaps we are fated to be at odds regarding some matters. At the same time, that will never stop me from offering you help if you shall ever seek it from me. For many years I have let many things stand in the way of me and those I cared for, Arthur included. I do not wish for any more animosity, I had enough in Camelot. Whatever disagreements we had between us, my love for Arthur is stronger. Know that, at least. If you ever wish for me, I shall offer you whatever aid you will need.

There are a people in my land who reside in camps in the woods and some think them savages. Yet they are the wisest people I have had the chance to meet. If you are free, Ygritte of the Lands Above the Wall, then I do envy you.

Look at you.

[ Maybe the wording is something an adult would say to a child they think is behaving well, or something along that line. It's the Doctor's way of saying he's proud too, like Merlin. His way of saying look at you, fighting back your demons and being the best you can be. Because when one loses something that has been one's world, it is so easy to resort to resentment. He's done it plenty.

And he knows Morgana is more than capable of doing the same. Has done the same. Yet here she is, turning it around into something else. Into an offer of reconciliation. And it is incredible. ]

[ he uses voice but she allows him to see her; in her blue silks and long braid and a small smile that speaks of fondness and a certain level of uncertainty that is rare for Morgana. ]

You know I could not do this without you, Merlin. I could never.

That is the greatest irony of all, isn't it? I do not know what it is that they can control these days. Since Odin has fallen, they are at loss, it would seem. I do not fault them. In a way, I am the same in the absence of Arthur.

Why would you ask that of me, Sir Loras? Is there one who was in my brother's favor and is not in yours?

It is my duty, Alice Liddell. I know that in his absence, Arthur would have wanted those he cared for - the people of Asgard to not be without aid if they would need it. I oft thought he knew nearly everyone in the city. I hope to do the same in his name.

I think he would have appreciated you greatly, Dean. But you have my favor even if you never had his own.

I think I would care for company. This house is much more quiet than it once was.

To be able to help in his place, you have to forget yourself a little. That will be important. People are hurt all the time, but Arthur was able to put their pain before his own.

I believe I'm able to manage what I can, but there are certain things I may ask for your assistance in in the future. I believe and I might agree that action is better than inaction; action is better than reaction, too.

But I think that the lesson I first provided is what you'll need moving forward.

May I correct you on one thing and one thing alone, Harry Potter? You say I must forget myself a little, my brother, I believe, would have said I must remember myself to be able to hold to my duties. I have lost myself far too often in Asgard, it was Arthur who reminded me who I am. Though I think you and I may speak of the same in different words. You are right about one thing, I have oft let my pain control me. I fell to anger and hurt and I forgot what I once taught Arthur and what he later taught me anew. One has to do and fight for what one believes at. It is that and that alone that matters. We are at war. I do not wish for us to fight against the giants when we are split ourselves. For what I said to you, I apologize. You meant much to my brother, I know this. I will do what I can in his place.

Merlin is doing all he can and in a way I am the same. Arthur's loss is very felt both by him and by me. We are all that is left from those of Camelot. At the same time, we have each other. That is a comfort.
