[It'd been gnawing at her for a while, the attitudes she'd seen here at Asgard. It wasn't that it gnawed in the sense of "I can't believe they think this way." It was more that she couldn't fathom how prevalent the 'working together despite different pasts or old rivalries' sentiment seemed to run through everyone. It wasn't how she was raised, and frankly she thought they were all collectively idiots.

So, today, she felt like saying so.]

So, tell me, if one of you idiots can manage the feat. When did the giant drum circle of love and forgiveness start around here? What is it about the people here that makes them want to put aside their old rivalries, or any reasons they have not to trust people? And don't tell me we're all in a war, and we're on the same side.

I haven't bought that line yet, and I don't plan on it anytime soon. Maybe I'll fight the giants, maybe I won't. Might just watch you jackasses burn to the ground. That could be lots of fun right before I croak.

No, I want to know why you all started trusting people you barely know or your worst enemies from your won worlds, put aside your feuds and decided to pretend to all be one big, giant, happy family, because that's the biggest joke I've seen since I got here.

Perhaps because even if you haven't bought it, we happen to have landed on the same side in a war, and many people have decided to buy it themselves. Or, alternatively, it's because we are largely put through the same thing. It unites people, believe it or not.

Sometimes you're too busy struggling against an outside force for it to be wise to fight among yourselves, and realise it too.

And, let's be real honest here. How hard would it be just to walk over and sell out this side for the other? It's not like she hasn't offered. I've looked back.

It still amuses the hell out of me that people can put aside all their pasts to work together. What about you? You got any enemies here you planning to work with fighting this Surt? Side by side like best friends?

She's hurt us too. People don't have the lack of spirit that would make them go to someone who hurt them, thinking it would help.

Not like best friends. But if need be, I would fight with them. If anything, to keep an eye on them.

Huh, well. I wasn't expecting anyone to actually say that, even doing the whole you don't know who I am trick like me. But that sort of assumes this was ever about right or wrong.

But rivalry's all about thinking you're right. Don't bullshit yourself. Maybe you actually are and you'll get to give yourself a big pat on the back after everything's done, but not everyone here's that lucky.

When it became clear that it would expend too much energy and effort to remain at odd ends, when there is fire and ice raining upon us.

That isn't to say the people are not still enemies, of they would not hesitate to hurt one another if the opportunity allowed it.

I don't have anyone I hate here.

What I do have is a lot of people I love back home, and if the people that brought us here are telling the truth, fighting this war will keep them safe.

And if they're lying... well, giants still aren't really nice people, from everything I know, and the people of Asgard and Travellers here are in danger. That's worth fighting for too, if we are stuck here.

And you're probably going to call me an idiot for this, because you're clearly such a ray of sunshine, but being a cynical jerk doesn't make you any more intelligent or right than the rest of us.

Then I'll spare you being called an idiot. You can just assume it happened. Look, none of what you said's wrong. I've seen the footage. It's a war, and both sides are going out of their way to kill each other. Neither of them's nice about it, and yeah these people are in trouble. All of that's true.

But what makes the people of Asgard better to protect than the ones in the other cities? Just because the guys from this one dragged you here? I might have been a tool once, but I at least knew what sort of man I was fighting for. These aren't your people, so you have a choice.

Why do you believe them?

I've met Asgardians back home. They're good people, and they don't start wars they don't have to. The people here seem enough like the ones I knew... I think I can trust them. That's just me, how I feel.

The people who have been here longer seem to have their own reasons for trusting them. Maybe ask them without insulting them first and you'll get a better explanation.
