... Perhaps where you're from, that's...
[Strange? Wrong? Completely unheard of? Possibly.]
As it goes. But where I'm from, a boy starts to become a man after his thirteenth year. Some are married off and enhancing their line by then, though it's not as common as waiting till they're in their fifteenth or sixteenth year.
