[So after hurting Peeta and a few other people on accident, Daphne has since learned her power is sufficiently bunked, and has been working at the hospital using the old fashioned way to help the steady stream of individuals whose power has been shot. She's taking a brief break, though she keeps her feed on audio.]

Hello.

[Shy and quiet as ever, but Daphne is calm and level-headed, as she usually is in an emergency. Panicking won't do anyone any good.]

People with healing or damage drain should avoid using it, because it only makes it worse. Everyone with traditional medical experience should go to the Sigyn hospital or one of the traditional medical clinics to help with the injuries. If you can't get there, please contact someone via network, and they can help you get there.

[Her voice is quiet, forcibly so.]

I'm going to be at the hospital -- my healing doesn't work properly, but I am a nurse. I can still help you if you need treatment. Please don't delay asking for help if you need it and don't use your powers. You may hurt yourself or others around you.

[She cuts the public feed.]

[She lets herself sound a tiny bit more like the mess she is with him, because she knows he's going to pick up on it anyway.]

How many traditional clinics are there in the city? And where are the injured most likely to go?

There is the Yakuzen Clinic that Doctor Watson manages, but I believe most will go to the hospital in Sigyn.

[It's the largest and most central location in the district, after all, and certainly the most well known.]

[And Sakura will -- Daphne is in her work uniform, just outside the door, arms carefully tucked against her. She has her power tightly clamped down, but she's afraid of touching anyone and accidentally setting it off.]

[ for the first time since she's been in asgard, sakura's donned her black gloves. she doesn't know if it'll help at all, but hey. might as well try, right?

she walks up to daphne with a hesitant smile. they hadn't seen each other's faces on the network, so she's hoping this is the right person. ]

Are you who I see for the tour?

[She looks up at being addressed and wears a shy smile, nodding briefly -- though she doesn't extend her hand to shake. Better to be safe than sorry and not touch.]

Mhm. I'm Daphne Allen.

It's nice to meet you, though I wish it were under better circumstances.

Tell me about it. This whole thing is a clusterfuck, if I've ever saw one. [ there's really no other word for it. ]

I'm Sakura, by the way.

[Daphne doesn't really curse, but -- well, she can't disagree with that assessment.]

[And she, at least, tries for a smile.]

Sakura is a pretty name.

Oh, thanks. [ that's so sweet. ] I used to think it was kind of dumb when I was a kid, but it's really grown on me.

I hated my name, too. I still don't really like it, but it's grown on me.

Have you been here very long? In Asgard.

No, not really. Only a couple weeks. It's been an interesting transition.

It isn't usually this... hectic.

[She rubs her nose, with half a smile.]

You seem pretty calm, though.

Occupational hazard. I'm pretty used to keeping calm in hectic situations.

[ and this isn't even the worst situation she's been in. ]

They activate on their own too.

[There's a brief silence before she makes an odd nervous noise -- a sigh and a groan mixed into one.]

[Now her stupid husband is going to come to the stupid hospital and probably get his stupid organs liquefied because her stupid powers can decide to activate on their own.

She's not going to touch anyone until this is over.]

Maybe it won't. I don't know how many others it's done that for, honestly. It just did for me.

I'm at the highest level of healing power, so if my powers accidentally go off around anyone already injured --

[They're probably going to be dead.]

I think it's a good idea for all of us to do that, honestly. As much as we can.

"Worse" is sort of an understatement. Everything I've touched today's disintegrated. Just, turned to dust, right there.

[If she sounds exhausted and frazzled, it's only because she woke up her second morning here to the sheets on her bed dissolving. No big deal.]

What power do you normally have?

Healing, or that's what I was told. Haven't actually used it yet.

... I have that gift, too.

[She's banning her husband from coming near her until this madness is over, for the love of all that is holy.]

But I haven't... it hasn't worked like that for me. Not yet.

How's yours going wrong, then?

[She's almost afraid to ask, from the disquiet she can hear in the woman's words.]

I try to heal people and it makes it worse. Second degree burns become third degree, fractures become breaks, cuts become deeper.

[She's careful not to touch anyone unless she absolutely needs to now.]

[Rose sucks in a breath, tense with the whole situation.]

Do things like this happen often here?

No -- well, sometimes. But nothing like this has happened before, though terrible things have happened in the past. We've never... our powers haven't gone this wrong before, in my memory. My husband has been here longer, he might be able...

[She's just babbling now.]

-- I'm sorry, I guess the short answer would be no.

No, 's alright. That's... [good? comforting? terrible?] -thank you. I'm still not used to having them, is all, and this mess is making them feel more like a time bomb than a tool for doing good, you know?
