[Hello Asgard! Yes, Castiel is still here, lurking. Waiting.
But no really, he hasn't been on the network muchother than to be a paranoid skeptic about the gods because he's been moping about problems in his world. He does that moping thing a lot, but his wife is gotten tired of it, and he actually has too.
That’s why he's showing up on the network now, with a new project to take his mind off of things and hopefully to be useful as well. It’s actually something he's a little excited about, which might be hard to tell since he's pretty much as neutral as ever, but those who know him well might notice his eyes are bright and he’s speaking just slightly more quickly and emphatically than usual.]
I have noticed several requests for, and inquiries about, work available here. For those who are interested, I am going to be hiring a few individuals to assist in the functioning of a small business I plan to open.
I have been experimenting with herbal remedies and potions for my own use, but I've developed enough of them that they may be of use to others besides myself. While there are two other herbalists' shops in Asgard, very little of what I have been working on will overlap with their stocks, therefore it should be little issue to add a third.
[Castiel is a healer primarily, but he knows that with some things developed in the other shops as well as the powerful healing abilities of Sigyn and Heimdall houses, he won't be specializing in that area aside from a few particular things. So instead, he's been focusing on some other unique things based on what he would desire himself, as well as the sorts of things he knew how to do in his own world. He really likes this area of work, so he's been having more fun than he wants to admit.]
As I am also working at the hospital, and therefore don't have constant attention to devote to this store, I will need two employees to begin with. More may be necessary at a later time, but two seems suitable for now.
One individual will be needed to primarily oversee and be responsible for the shop while I am unavailable. I would prefer this employee be knowledgeable in the field of herbalism in general, but it needn't be knowledge specific to Asgard. Use of herbs or potions in your world, or perhaps even ritualwork as a whole, will be enough; I will teach you anything you need be aware of that is unique to Asgard, so that you may answer questions if necessary.
[But honestly Castiel is a bit of control freak and will probably write out little informational packets on each type of product, so instructions can just be handed out. Still, it's good to have someone on hand who knows what they're doing, at least in terms of the very basics; someone who won't set bottles of active ingredients down hard on countertops, or mix things 'just to see what will happen.']
The second person needn't be experienced at all, as you will be doing little but processing transactions. This may be of interest to those of you who are concerned about finding work due to lack of skills believed to be of value here; you will have opportunity to both gain experience in general, and learn the specific skill of herbalism as well.
[Castiel can sympathize with the uncertainty about finding a job; he was exactly the same way when he arrived here, as he's an angel, and they really don’t have normal jobs. Fortunately, he is adept at healing and has an ability suited to it here, so he was able to find a job at the hospital right away, but he hasn't forgotten how difficult it was at first. Pesky empathy.]
I have little desire to conduct formal interviews, so those who are interested should reply here, and we will speak.
[Which is sort of an interview, but not nearly as structured or extensive. Castiel isn't suited to interviewing in the slightest, and really just wants to make sure he doesn't hire anyone that he's tempted to stab every time he speaks to them.]
I believe that is all. If there are any questions, from prospective employees or those interested in what might be sold, I will attempt to answer.
[Oh wait, one more thing.]
On a note related to questions, I can also answer anything about the use of the Damage Drain ability granted to some of those in Heimdall house. I have seen much confusion about it, particularly from new arrivals, but I have this ability at the highest power level available to us and have for a long time. Anyone may contact me at any time with any questions that you have now, or may have in the future, about this ability.
[Now he’s done for real, and his voice is tired. He never talks this much at one time.]
[[ooc: Anyone interested in having their character work at Cas' shop, feel free to comment ICly here! If you have OOC questions, don’t hesitate to PM me. c:]]

So Effie asks the most important question.]
Do you already have a building?
[All swathed up in blue today, with glistening dewdrop eyelashes.
Don't have a stroke at the visual stimulation.]
Somewhat. I have not officially signed the papers as of yet.
[Effie makes condescension an artform, though she's really not trying to be.]
Video]
[Said in a tone that might be dryly sarcastic, but might be genuinely oblivious.]
I'm already approved and so the signing is a formality. This is far more efficient regardless; paying for a building before it is ready to use makes little sense.

I can help you, you know.
[You don't need to go hiring people, she's perfectly capable of pretending she knows things about plants.]
[Text]
However, you have your own responsibilities as well.
[He doesn't want to give her more to have to do or worry about.]

I'm not as familiar with Asgardian herbs and rituals as I'd like, but if most are as similar to those of my world as they seem to be, I may know enough.
If neither position suits, I'd take you up on your latter offer. It's only... [This is the only time he hesitates, if briefly. Apparently it would have been simple to discover this on his arrival, if he'd thought to try. It's a failure he's still not quite happy with.] Hemidall granted me an ability, but I've little idea what it is.
[He just wants to make sure whoever has the experienced position isn't an idiot, honestly.]
You have not tested your power yet?

no subject
It is. Testing for Damage Drain is the most simple; find a friend or acquaintance willing to make a small cut on their hand or arm, and then touch their shoulder and concentrate on attempting to absorb the injury. The first level allows transfer of pain only, and if you happen to have a stronger power level the worst that will occur is a transfer of the entire cut.
If nothing happens, you likely have Energy Lending.

She uploaded the unpublished ones. I wish I could meet her and shake her hand. Or at least find out if she's a Dean girl or a Sam girl.

I don't know anything about herbalism, here or where I come from, but I would be interested in trying for the second position. Did you want to set up a time to talk, or speak over the video feed?
We can speak here, now, if you are interested. What do you normally do in your world?
[There are no wrong answers; he's just curious about what she is interested in, since she isn't familiar with the subject at hand.]

For employment? I... well, I didn't. I was about to start college, and I wound up in Asgard instead.
[More or less, anyway.]
I'm a fast learner, though, and I'm good with numbers.

What sorts of specialties are you putting together?
no subject
[He's glad she doesn't seem bothered by the whole thing.]
An assortment of things; I am a healer primarily, but Euri already offers several healing potions, so I am working on things that are related but not exactly the same. Damage Drain is the only ability to affect blood loss, and that takes a toll on the Drainer, so I have been developing a potion to replenish blood loss.
[As an example. He's generally focusing on healing-type effects that aren't actually healing, like a different type of sleeping potion, something for anxiety, etc.]
