Video: On lost muchness & hats
[Shortly after his arrival, and orentation of sorts, Tarrant will quite simply get started the best way he knows how. The feed begins with the hatter standing in some odd place, and alley off somewhere looking around.]
Oh my, I knew that losing your muchness meant that you were muchier. But to go completely gray is quite mad. I should think that one would want to look their best even without their muchness. Though with such dull colors I should very much like to hat them with something more colorful.
And I should much like to have a hand at my trade again. I'll need my things should I be expected to hat so many people though. Tools, a pincushion, a measuring tape, thimbles of course, thread and needle, needle and thread, cloth, pins, cloth pins, scissors, mannequins, a tolliker, curling shakles, a hat guage and lettering machine of course. We'll need to hurry though, you see I simply mustn't keep Alice waiting very long. She's terribly busy you know know that the frabjous day is finally upon us.
Well, then, Shall it be a bonnet or a boater? Or something for the boduoir? Cloche, dunce hat, death cap, coif, snood, barboosh, pugree, yarmulke, cockle-hat, porkpie, tam-o'-shanter, billycock, bicorn, tricorn, bandeau, bongrace, fan-tail, nightcap, garibaldi, fez...

video;
[She says this like she doesn't seem to be thrilled, but words can't describe how excited Alice is.]
video;
video; action or no?
Action sounds good.
Action;
Ah!
[A fluff of petticoats ten minutes later, Alice nearly skids to a stop, dropping her hands to her knees to catch her breath.]
Here I am!
Action;
[Of course, A hatter is nothing if not one that is quite out of touch with being in touch with time. Standing up he pulls over a rather curious looking chair taken from another one of the shops while a woman gives them a rather dubious stare.]
It looks like you could use something to drink.
Action;
[She mutters, mostly to herself. Alice finally gets a chance to settle herself on a chair.
Of course, she does it after fluffing out her skirts. It feels good to sit down after sprinting down all the way to Heimdall district. She finally is able to catch her breath.]
It feels half-empty, but this will do.
[As long as there are no eyepots or insane children. It feels... surreal.]
Action;
[Not that there was anything other than the tea pot and set of cups with saucers on the table.]
Tell me Alice, have you any idea where we are?
Action;
We can have that another time, I promise.
[Any Hatter is a friend of hers as far as she's concerned.]
Why, we're in Asgard, of course. Is this where you're assigned to, Hatter? Heimdall?
Action;
Yes, I was this is where I was supposed to come and here I am. Though I should think there's somewhere else for me to work.
Action;
Yes, yes, elbows on the table is very rude, she knows.]
You would be surprised how strange, yet accommodating this place can be at times. If you're concerned about it, I suppose this one time I could help you.
Action;
The we shall have to get started at once. As soon as we've finished our tea. But what is it that Alice is going to do?
Action;
She springs up to help him, only to watch that tea end up in his cup. Of course. If it wasn't Dormy intoxicated with treacle or the March Hare interjecting, this happened. All is forgiven! Alice remains gentle, but firm.]
You don't suppose it may be better for you if you were to settle in first?
[Although if Jack Skelleington could get a job in Hel's carnival, anything's possible. Alice will just be over-protective in her own way of anyone that hails from Wonderland.]
Or more importantly, Hatter, what do you recall last?
Action;
Ah yes well I had just gotten a few things when I decided I would see about what hat I had to make, since the hat would depend on what I got so I had to figure out what hat while getting what I needed for the hat that was wanted when I asked.
They were rather indecisive about it. And you see since Alice had already been presented as the queen's champion and was to face the Jabberwock I'm in quite a hurry, but then I found Alice here, and then Alice called while I was waiting on Alice. Though Alice isn't quite like Alice though Alice is certainly Alice since I would know Alice anywhere.
[Hands move back and forth back and forth, until he loses his thoughts there at the end looking a bit confused.]
Re: Action;
Her not being me. Even if you're not the Hatter I saw, you are still Hatter.
[And she'll be grateful to have him here, despite the fact he's making her a little confused. Alice has to choose her words carefully. But the queen? Which one? Surely that wasn't the red queen?]
Why the Jabberwocky? Was it not already slain before? How many more times must that obnoxious monster show itself?
Action;
The white queen shall wear the crown again, and the Jabberwock will be gone. And it will all be thanks to Alice. Of course then we'll all sit down and have a frabjous time.
Action;
[Oh, if only; as memory served right her head displayed in the red queen's hall. She notices his demeanor change in an instant. Any being of Wonderland in Asgard is going to be protected, for they are dear and important to this Alice. She frowns.]
Oh, Hatter...
[No, don't frown. Alice attempts to cheer him up the best way she can.]
Everything will be all right. It may be a different Alice, but she will do what it's right. If I can do the same with my vorpal blade, why can't she?
[Alice even pulls out her own vorpal blade, displaying it. Technically, it's not supposed to exist in Asgard, but here it is.]
It's a good blade, you know, it's always sharp and keen, it will never dull.
Action;
Oop.
[As soon as he done, the hatter picked up his cup and took a sip from the tea that he had poured for Alice and yet was in his cup.]
Re: Action;
[She's really tempted to reach up and pour it herself. It would be incredibly rude, but she'll attempt to be gracious enough to let him go ahead and pour her a cup if he remembers.
Alice heaves a heavy sigh.]
As dreadful as she is, she's best off left to her realm as well as the white queen to the pale realm.
[Otherwise she'll just come back over and over.]
Is it that terrible? This sounds so very familiar....
Action;
That's because Alice said that before, when you asked what the red queen had done. But that was then and this is now and time shouldn't like to revisit too often since we're not on the best of terms. He's still quite upset you know when the queen accused me of murdering the time.
Action;
[Alice is standing up.
Mark her words, Hatter, she's going to get a cup of tea for once, whether you like it or not. She's dreamed of that since she was seven -- don't crush her dreams! She focuses back on the red queen herself, which gets a very exasperated sigh.]
Why, you shouldn't think too much of it, really. It's nothing completely new for her to say. Actually, I'm surprised she's still on about that. A solution to that would take her and the Duchess, lock them both in a room, and with pepper.
[A dark joke. She's pretty sure that would end in murder and not that Alice would complain about it.]
Everything will turn out for the best -- we always make it so.
[We, as in, Alice. Another Alice. You know what, Alice is going to have faith in herself, even if it's another version of herself.]
Action;
I suppose so. Though we still have quite a bit of work to do you know. And Alice did say she would help.
Action;
Really, now, it is a little ridiculous that she's took this long to actually get a cup of tea from Hatter's table. It may be regular tea, but finally, Alice can sit right back down with it. Who really cares if it was rude or not to get up, reach across the table, and drink it.
And after a moment of silence.]
And what work was that, exactly?
Action;
Ah, if Alice wanted some tea you could have simply asked. And to get a shop set up of course. If I'm to hat quite a lot of people so they can get their muchness back I should think I'll need a place to work.
Re: Action;
Apologies, Hatter, but I needed something to perk myself up. I didn't sleep very well last night.
[Or any night.]
Do you need help?
