[ Oh look, it's the not-'Asgardian'!Asgardian! And he holds his hand up, palm outward in silent greetings. ]
Friends, newcomers - [ ...and Malekith... ] - well met. I shall keep brief: we have faced war. And we have had our dead and our wounded to show for the victory.
[ And now, he turns slightly more somber. ]
I do not ask whether you fight for this land or its people, for your pleasure or your lives alone. Whatever your reasons, we do not die here. In this, I think, we all agree. Yet...
[ He has the grace to look sheepish. ]
...apologies, but many of you walk as if targets. You know nothing of battle, and the gifts given to you in this land do not serve. The meager war crafts would be of help to you: shield bearing, the handling of sword and hammer. I do not speak of great ability, but enough that you can bide yourselves the time to run.
[ Firmer, now. ]
So: those who wish to learn, give say of what weapon might suit you. Those who know of battle and wish to teach it, name your skill and offer service. And those who once held sorcery alike to the one gained here, volunteer counsel of how to improve it.
For my part, I wield the hammer. I lack in patience, but do not scold unfairly. What knowledge I have is yours to take.
[ Is the part where he riles half of Asgard done with? OH THANK EVERYTHING, time to offend the other half. ]
Past every man's care, we can seek to defend the city. Who here runs inventory? Have we cannons? Rams? Horses? If anyone wishes to learn, or organize legions - you have my aid in this. There lies opportunity. Another is with our fellows, the grey ones. A frail-bearded man wrote that we do not give them thought or time. Perhaps he is wise, and there is more to be done in alliance.
[ And then he stares at the camera for a long moment of rather stupid blinking, before dissolving into laughter, because - ]
That... was not brief.
[ ooc: woah, tl;dr. iiif you'd like to get involved, just have your character volunteer to teach their faito skills, and I'll have Thor send some/all of the characters who want to pick up said skills their way o/ . ]

text/private forever, etc.
of all people to
lord have mercy]
1) Thank you for omitting my name.
2) Am I frail, or is it my beard you find lacking?
3) Speaking to a woman as though she is a dog doesn't go over very well. You might want to avoid doing so in the future.
[Unless that's her thing. But.]
video THE SAME, etc
On the second: ...do not give it much thought.
And the third: that is no mere woman. That... is the Lady Sif.

So you didn't mean to insult?
[Says Mister Mjolnir Keychains. Whatever, he apologized! Kind of. Maybe. A little.]
Lady is still a woman, but perhaps that was a little sexist of me. Most people don't take kindly to it. Unless it's common in your Asgard to have people as pets?
[Just imagining a coliseum of stupidly attractive people walking slaves like dogs and holding bacon in bags and welp.]

This is Will Graham, a man who does not understand friendship, imagining himself saying that sort of thing to any of the people in his life.
This is Will Graham envisioning himself having his ass thoroughly handed to him, verbally and physically and in every other way.
Having friends must be nice if he could get away with that and not get his ass kicked.]
I don't know about cannons or rams, but I've heard about Gefion Park housing 8-legged horses that draw carriages. [Enough for a herd of Odins.] Perhaps you could look into them and find whether they're worthy or not. I know you're supposed to look at the teeth, but I don't know what sort of teeth means a horse is a good one.
[If they're all a bunch of fanged horses with runes carved in their teeth, it's best he never looks at them. He doesn't need that.]

[ Noddity-nod-nod... ]
Though we would need a beast master to man them. A good rider might see the task done, but a starting one on a creature we have not tamed... I do not think so.

If they're drawing carriages, they must have been in tamed in some way. So then, perhaps the Natives have experienced horse [Whisperers] masters among them. I don't imagine any horse is born already tamed. They may be willing to help since we are here to help them.

You mean for us to fully trust in the grey ones.

So Will will read and see as he always does, but he'll keep his mouth shut. He's been doing that a lot since he got here. Hopefully it doesn't drive him to embrace something he's been running from for longer than he'd like.]
Not exactly. I mean that if there are those here who have tamed these horses and they are willing to impart the knowledge of how to do that and use them, why not investigate the matter? Why not ask nicely? Nothing can happen if no action is taken. A certain trust is needed, because to try and say that they must do it while a Traveler watches could be very insulting. But if we refuse to trust any, then we will grow further apart.
You trust those who answer you now to be honest about what skills them have in defense and fighting. Yes, you can find out if they are being honest once you see them, but you could find out the same if the Natives show their skills as well. Why not extend some of that trust to the grey ones and the ones we have helped to color? It is not full trust.
Yet. That must be earned.

Very well. Twice you have spoken in their name and called for diplomacy with them. Begin negotiations. See it done.

He's not suggesting.
He is?
What?
Why?
Note to self: never use the network again ever because it's too sociable and it forces him to confess he's not good at that.]
No. [Saying that without explanation is a bad idea. He's not afraid of Thor, but he doesn't seem like the guy to take "no" without a why very kindly.] I'm very bad at talking to people. I make a habit, back home, of not talking to people unless I have to, usually because of my job. I'm one of the last people you'd want to send to do this. I would mess it up. [I would reflect poorly on all of us, every single one of us, even the ones who aren't seen in any positive light.] I'm glad you like the idea. You just don't want me too involved.
I work behind the scenes. It's just how I've always done.

I write well. I do not speak well, especially to strangers. I don't just use this because I haven't shaved or [showered or eaten very much] think I look bad. I'm really really awful with people. You called me strange. It's a little worse than that.
You like the idea, that's great! I'm glad. But I can't follow through with this.
[He's not going to be sociable, he won't do it, there's no lives at stake—wait.]
