Ahem. [Does she have your attention now? Yes? Good.] I hope people are still hungry, after being away to fight for so long, 'cause I made some food to share with everybody!

[Rue proudly shows off the mac and cheese and spiced chicken meatballs...which are both sort of messily plated, but they taste better than they look, honest!]

Back home, sharing food is really important after coming back from a long day at work. It's the same for war, right? I just wanted to do this now for everybody who went to the elves' kingdom because... [Shifty eyes. Hopefully Katniss and the others don't catch on to this too quickly.] I'm going with you next time. But I have to find somebody to teach me how to fight first.

Um, anyways! I'm gonna be at the park. There's some benches and tables we can use to eat if you want some of the food. You should bring some easy recipes for me to try if you have any, too!

Because somebody promised they would teach me how to make PB&J sandwiches. [Yes, she's looking at you, Stiles.]

You can try asking, but they won't bring her unless they want to. It's just possible. I know because I'm-- [a pause] I have friends who are already gone in their world, but they're still here.

If you want to talk to the gods, you can try going to their shrine.

[fire_punk]

Yeah, I'll try that. [It'd be worth the chance to see her. Even if it's a very small one.]

[airborn]

Do you want me to show you where they are after we eat?

[They're easy enough to find for someone who's been around the city.]

[fire_punk]

Yeah, that sounds good.

[airborn]

[She makes a show of spooning some mac and cheese onto a plate and holds it up toward the screen.]

Are you coming?

[fire_punk]

Yeah. Where's the park?

[airborn]

It's in the middle of Baldr's district! You can check the banners when you're walking around.

Baldr's color is a bright green.

[He doesn't bother replying on the network. He just sets out of Hel House and meanders in the general direction of Baldr's district. It takes him about half an hour to get there. He did better that a few days ago but he got turned around once.]

Hey.

[airborn]

Hi! [She jumps to her feet and gets him a plate.] Do you just want the macaroni?

[She doesn’t mention the lateness—everybody’s late in the beginning. There’s so much to see in the city that can distract you!]

[fire_punk]

The meatballs look good, too.

[He watches her for a minute.] You like cooking?

[airborn]

It’s kind of new… the cooking. My mom did the cooking in Panem and I looked after my brother and sisters. I like it though. My friends have been teaching me how to make a lot of new things here!

[She holds the plate out.] Here you go!

[fire_punk]

[He smiles as he takes the plate. There's no actual thank you but the smile kind of means the same thing.]

I just ate a lot of take out at home. [This looks so much better. He takes a bite of the macaroni.] This is almost like Mom's!

[airborn]

[This pleases her! Rue's grinning from ear to ear.]

Eat more if you like it! Then I can take you to the shrine after we're done.

[She tucks into her own plate, too.]
