Is it common for people to switch powers like we did not too long ago?

Offer to teach them to practice resisting. Against the strongest, it doesn't stop the power, but it makes it exhausting to keep up for long. It can protect against the weaker. You can help them protect themselves.

I did it for a long time. Just be real clear with them what you're going to do. It takes a lot of trust, and some really don't like it.
