[The Captain has only just arrived here, after a short stint back home. For the most part, he has his memories intact, other than being in a different room (which meant a whole day wasted cleaning it up to his standard) things here still felt the same.

[Mumbled words into his teacup, where he sat at the window table of a cafe in the Hel district. Because Levi had only just arrived back himself, he decided to remain in the city, keep watch and protect those staying behind if it came to that, which lead him to the meaning of this broadcast.]

If we're going to bother doing this, we might as well do it properly. Survey Corps, that's what I'm talking about, not the Knight's guard or whatever they do here for protection. We're gonna do it my way, the way the Commander would have had it. If you've got the balls to join me, do it. If not, don't waste my time.

[He paused, taking another sip of his tea before continuing.]

what I'm blabbering about, is the safety of this place.

No, I know that. What the hell does a survey team have to do with city defense? This isn't some building project.

I dunno what it means back where you crawled out of, but from my world, the Survey Corp is an elite team of soldiers.

Oh is that what you mean? That makes more sense than survey team.

Problem is I'd have to care what happens to these jackasses first.

[Levi might talk with the manners of a backyard dog, he might even be a little too easily provoked into violence, but the welfare of his fellow humans is something he strives to uphold. It's safe to say, he doesn't like the tone of this anonymous text.]

If that's the case, I doubt they care much for you either, especially if you're not even willing to make a difference, then again, I doubt a person like you could.

[Levi has no idea how often she's heard it, or how little she cared. Still, he wouldn't likely be that surprised by it.]

I don't need people to care about me. All I need is to know when to follow orders or not. Caring about these bastards doesn't mean a thing to me, but I'll dance their dance when I'm good and ready.

What's the "Survey Corps"?

We're a small branch of the Military back where I come from, involved heavily in Titan combat and human expansion. We stand for and symbolize the hope of mankind.

[A paused to take another drink of his tea. He assumes this is going to be a waste of his time explaining all this, so he's keeping it as short and brief as possible.]

The threat here isn't exactly the same as what we're fighting in my world, but that's no reason to change the Military approach to defence that I was planning for this City.

I see! [Kind of. A little. She doesn't have a ton of experience with actual military people, but this guy sounds like he knows what he's talking about.]

It might be a good idea. And what's a 'Titan'?

[Yea, Levi can tell she doesn't really understand by the tone of her voice, but at least she's showing an interest? He for one, knows exactly what he's talking about, and after being around for the battle between the Fire and Ice Giants, he know's only too well how much this place needs a better protection unit.]

What's a Titan?...

[A darkness filled the Captain's expression, eyes fixed downwards into the ripples of his teacup. He hated answering this question, he hated that it was just his world that suffered their presence, yet at the same time he wouldn't wish a Titan on anyone.]

Watching your comrades being chewed up and spat out like tobacco root... Seeing a whole town reduced to rubble and parts of corpses left behind to paint the streets in bloody filth.... Being hunted and eaten for sport with only a few brave and stupid enough to try and make a difference. That's what a Titan is, the most horrible nightmare you can imagine hunting after you every second of every day.

[That's certainly about the most graphic description she's heard of... well, anything.

Euri is silent for a few moments. She wasn't expecting anything like that. It sounds repulsive, obviously, and after a bit of thought she supposes that's a good thing.]

I... see. I've never heard of them before.
