So... Giles is gone. Which means Willow - you know, dog version - and I have this whole house to ourselves.

[ just, you know, with how sam isn't here and everyone's leaving and the fact their house used to be so full and is losing people by the day. ]

I'm not looking to move. [ From Thor to... everywhere... to here... She's tired of moving. ] ... Again. But if you've got room for Wills, too, I might bring her and crash a couple of days. Wouldn't mind seeing what the kid does when he's not at work with me, too.

Come by whenever. I'm here at the bar more often than not.

I don't doubt it's a hard thing. I wish I could say I understand completely, but...

At this point? A roommate. Or roommates plural. And maybe hard liquor, but I've kinda gotten used to losing people enough that I don't have to totally drown it.

What house are you in? Maybe we can try to work something out.

And I don't recommend drinking your sorrows away. Trust me.

Thor. But -- um... Our house is in Odin district. That's where Giles got placed when he got here.

[ She can't help but chuckle. ] I've got a pretty high tolerance anyway. Don't worry.

I'm in Sigyn, if that's okay with you. It's not all that far away, is it?

[ Allen smiles, as worried as it may be. ] Just be careful. That's all I ask.

Why wouldn't it be? Do people actually have rivalries here? [ Buffy could care less what house anyone is. People are people. ] I don't think so, no.

[ She smiles back. ] Don't worry. I can handle myself.

I don't think they do. But the travel could be an issue. I just want to make sure it's okay with you.

Colleagues. Or we were going to be, at least. He was going to teach mythology at my school.

Ah, well. [Severus is genuinely a little disappointed. Mr. Giles did seem like a very promising teacher.]

You never know. He might be back! And um -- I'm not... As well-versed as Giles is, but I know a thing or two about mythology. Not sure I'm teacher material for that kinda setting but I was a school counselor, back home, and I teach martial arts and self defense and weaponry at the Arena. So... If you need a hand... Name's Buffy.

Well, I mean, I'm gonna make sure I haven't picked up any axe-murderers, but a girl's gotta have roommates, even with a sustainable income, right?

[ She offers a little smile. ]

He'll probably be back. He's been here before this last time, too.

Mmm... I'm still getting used to the way things work here, but that makes sense.

[He smiles faintly in return.]

Well, that's good, right? [If a little weird...] You just have to... wait. And not, uh... 'pick up axe-murderers' in the mean time.

The waiting can be surprisingly annoying. But, yeah. It could definitely be worse. Way worse.
