[Video] - [Action for just outside Thor House]

[The video feeds opens to a very unfocused Cody, trying his best to get some training in. Clad only in a sweat-soaked tanktop and shorts, his fists repeatedly smash into the base of a street post that he's wrapped in rope. His blows are erratic, though, far more than they should be.]

...I knew it. Figured that was the case...

[He turns to the holo-display, clearly not happy with recent developments.]

I realized something was wrong with my body after sayin' hello to a few of the other house-mates in Thor. Now I know for sure that something's off. I'm stronger than I should be. My body ain't reactin' the same way as it used to.

[Cody holds up his manacles, now broken in the center of the chain. Seems Cody wasn't listening when the maid told him about the powers.]

And these are pointless, too. Snapped 'em by accident the other day. Now all they're good for is scrap metal. Used to take a hell of a lot more effort than that.

[A small sigh comes from his lips as he looks at his palms, flexing his fingers a few times.]

I don't like it. Fightin' ain't fun if it's too easy. Somebody here has to know what's goin' on. I can't be the only guy this is happenin' to.

Luckily, I can't do something quite that extreme. I'm not like a superhero, but it's a noticeable difference.

Yeah, funny you should mention that. Normally I'd run about the pace of good heft but this mornin', I was runnin' with some bloke an' I was doin' all sorts'a crazy shit. Guess it kinda helps to dive into cold water to get used to the ocean.

No. I'll just keep hittin' stuff until I know just how much power to exert.

I'm used to my old strength. I trained it up, I'm used to it. Now it's harder to control my strikes.

Right. Great. Thanks. If there's a blizzard, and if I'm stuck out in it. If that happens, then it'll be useful. But we have heating and lighters, so I don't know what good magic fire is going to be.

If everybody in Thor is stronger, then fighting will still be a challenge, at least.

And if they all didn't get stronger? Then what? I don't like havin' to worry about hittin' someone hard enough to do permanent damage.

But some of them must have. Since everyone in each house got one of two powers. So you can fight with the other strong ones, if nothing else. Not that I know a lot about fighting.

Not quite, but I used to fight to live. If you couldn't fight in my area, you didn't live very long.

Couldn't you end the fights quicker without them so you could survive more easily?

Then I guess I'm lucky I didn't have any of that cheap shit. I've always fought face-to-face. The only way worth fightin'.
