[It's the end of the world as we know it, and Equius has a question. No, it has nothing to do with this Christmas nonsense, though Nepeta has already probably decorated the house and Black and Blue in festive Perigree's Eve and Christmas decorations to the point where he's a little nauseated but refraining from saying anything. What the travelers do to take their minds off the coming war so that they are rested and mentally prepared is their business.
No, this is an important question. One important enough to take time out of everyone's busy holiday schedule and discuss it right here and now. He wants answers, and so he's seated and brandishing a corn dog in one hand, an extremely serious look on his face.]
I would ask, humans, as this is purported to be a confection of your crafting, what the purpose of the naming conventions related to this object are. [He takes a bite, chews half as much as he should and swallows.] It is not that I find them distasteful. They are, to date, one of your better culinary creations to my think-pan. I do not, however, understand why you would call such a thing a ... what is it? Corn Dog.
This is not bark-beast meat. I have eaten bark-beast meat. It is much gamier than this. [Another bite. At least he isn't speaking with his mouth full.] And it is not what your species refers to as corn or maize. I think, perhaps, the meal used to create the breading is ground up from corn, but why not include the husk? It's perfectly good fiber.
And why would you fry a french man, and what does it have to do with potatoes? ... Thank you for your time.
[Inquiring minds want to know.]

The Arena, a half hour? I will wear what they call boxing gloves so I do not break your bones?
[He's exaggerating a little.]
Video
[He smile is a little to happy to be considered sane.]
Okay! See you there!
Video
[Oh glob. That look. He was sweating a little. Ok, keep it together Equius.]
We will address a couple stipulations when we meet, I think. I will see you soon.
Video >> Action
Sure. See ya!
[Action]
[By the time Equius arrives, Mikazuki will probably already be there. He lives in Thor, after all.]
Action
Tapping them together, he nods towards Mikazuki.]
First. This is purely platonic, yes?

When he realizes just how big Equius is, his face breaks into a grin full of canines. Out of all the people he picked fight with this week, this one may be the biggest challenge and he’s a-okay with that! The stronger the opponent is, the better.
Platonic, though… what can he possibly mean by that? Mikazuki’s brow furrows in confusion as he tries to make sense of the question.
Wait. Does he mean - seriously?
He laughs.]
Dude, I’m not making advances at you. This fight is one hundred percent platonic!
[Did he really just have to say that? Whatever this guy is, they must have interesting lives.]

[And with that, he stepped up closer, rotating his arm once before the first punch was sent forward. If this man was in Thor, Equius was going to forego love taps or light strikes. He was either fast enough to dodge more attacks than most or strong enough to take it. Equius wasn't going to be holding back.]
no subject
He quickly stepped to the side and ducked to avoid the punch. Then, he twisted around, sending a power filled high kick.]

The human's reactions were definitely solid.]

YOu are not human, are you?
no subject
Hihi. Hyahaha. Now what makes you say that?
[He charged again without waiting for an answer. They can continue the conversation in a fight.]
no subject
[He countered, putting his arms up to block the next strike and then power straight through. He figured that he could take at least a couple of blows even from one augmented by Thor as long as he hadn't reached the second tier yet. It was the best time to test that theory, particularly as letting him in close would give a chance at a much cleaner kidney shot with his fist.]

[Really, his teeth were just amazing like that.
The first few blows put them on equal ground, but Mikazuki was pretty sure he can gain the advantage if he gets this one more punch...
Unfortunately, a jab to the kidney put an end to that plan. He doubled over and tried to back away. His face twisted with pain but the smile wasn't gone - if anything, it was wider.]
Hahaha ow. Wow it hurts! You sure know how to aim...!
[He started laughing.]
no subject
He moved in while the other was still recovering. Rather than going for the kidneys again, he aimed high with his fist. It was a feint, one that would let him try and sweep with his leg. He meant to bring him to the ground so he could hammer down with full force.]
no subject
Mikazuki didn't fall, but he was thrown of balance. He tried to grab Equius wrist - maybe he can balance himself while throwing him off...]
no subject
You've got a great view.]
no subject
Ahahaha ow you look so angry! This is great!
[Mikazuki is putting up one hell of a fight, going for a jab every time he sees an opening. He tries to kick Equius off him with powered shoves and kicks.]
no subject
Rearing his arm back, he lunged forward, trying to land a heavy, solid hammer-blow and knock that laughing smirk off of his face. With the way they were going at it, he probably wasn't good for much longer.]
no subject
Oh well. There were supposed to be healers around - wait. Is that a finishing blow Equius is trying to deliver? What a classic way to end a fight! A shame he isn't calling the attack, but still, Mikazuki must return the favor.
He charges right back with a punch of his own...
...and flies back when Equius gets him right in the jaw.
Very classic.]

Were I angry, I would have been trying to... kill you... or mate with you. I am always filled with rage.
no subject
[He sits up slowly, wincing.]
Good thing you're not angry, 'cause I wouldn't like any of these options, haha.
[He flashes Equius a friendly grin.]
And it's Mikazuki! Not "human".

no subject
[He probably mispronounced it a little.]
Anyway, I should probably find a healer or something but how 'bout a drink after that?
[Mikazuki really doesn't mind getting his ass kicked. He'll just have to train some more and have a rematch. He already decided he and Equius are buddies.]
no subject
But, it wasn't a terrible first meeting to tell Nepeta about at least.]
