[It's rare for Jamie to actually go to the effort of making his own posts on the network. He likes to comment around (when he actually remembers to check in) and that's about it. However, he's had an idea, and usually this results in his trying to share said idea...even if the people he's sharing with suddenly decide they need to be somewhere else right after he opens his mouth. And besides that, in this case he could actually use a little help with his plan. So here he is, sitting at the kitchen table in Thor 103, fiddling with what looks like a small bottle of green food colouring.]

Look, I was wondering if anyone had any balloons they'd not mind parting with? I've not been able to find any around here, and I've an idea for something to do with them. Suppose something I could use to make round shapes might do, but balloons would be better.

[After a few seconds, he casts a glance around him before leaning in and lowering his voice a little.]

But...listen, if ye happen to know Clara, don't tell her about it. It's a surprise.

[Of course, having it be a surprise might work a little better if he'd thought to do something like, oh, say, lock the post from her. Unfortunately, that didn't occur to him and so this is open as open can be. After a moment, he straightens back up so he can then lean back a little in his chair.]

[She had every intention of acting like she hadn't seen a thing. Really, she did. But she's curious as to what he's up to, and wants to at least attempt to make him not feel awkward for not having locked things away from her.]

I can see this, you know. Every last bit of it.

That might not help him feel less awkward. She pulls a welp face for a split second or two, frowning at herself, but it hardly lasts before she finds herself smiling warmly.]

I can pretend that I haven't, though. And give you a lesson in making sure things stay private over these things.

[Although he's not feeling awkward so much as a bit silly over the mixup, and he scratches at the back of his head.]

Ye don't have to pretend if ye don't want to, Clara. It just won't be as much of a surprise as I wanted it to be for ye, that's all.

[But he does look a little chagrined at the offer on the lesson.]

I've managed it before, though. It's just...well.

[He bites his lip for a moment, not really wanting to admit that the one time he wasn't simply responding to someone's else's filter consisted of him mashing buttons until it happened. So he winds up simply going quiet instead.]

[She feels a little bad for having spoken up at all, but she supposes she can attribute that to simply wanting to speak to him in the first place. So she decides to just make it about that, and not about being curious or nosy about what he's up to.]

It's all a bit much for me sometimes, you know, and I've got a computer inside my head.

arent all stores stationary though? well, at least when theres not an earthquake. i looked at some of the shops that were open but id not seen anything.

[ There's about twenty different things shoved into that one word that the Doctor could say. He could say all of them, but he'll just settle on just saying Jamie's name because oh this is bad even though he tried so hard. ]

I almost wish you were trying a bit of reverse psychology.

[Oh, he knows there's about twenty different things in that lone word - and his mouth twitches briefly, not sure if he needs to be making a face right about now or not. But then the rest of it winds up confusing him more than anything else, and his expression switches over to "vaguely baffled" as a result.]

Reverse...what? What would ye want me to be doing that for?
