So this? This isn't funny. I can deal with the cold, and I can deal with the snow, but I want my clothes back.

[She rolls her eyes, before muttering under her breath.]

I do not want to celebrate Snoggletog looking like this. It's itchy.

[Although her brow does wrinkle at the peacock comment. What in the name of Thor is a peacock?]

Yeah, he's definitely like that. A peacock's a bird with really bright feathers that preens itself and shows them off all the time in big displays. You've got feathers all over.

I've never heard of that kind of bird before. Though the preening and showy attitude sounds familiar.

[She pauses, glancing down at her sweater with pursed lips.]

Eh, don't worry about it. These pranks never last very long, if I remember right. If you can't find your old clothes, you should be able to get something close to it when Loki's done.

Astrid. [A beat.] Do these pranks happen often?

About every two or three weeks, if I'm remembering right. I'm sorry, but I was asleep for several days. My memory's a little muddled. These pranks don't always hit everyone.

It's almost never anything worse than this.

You don't know about Snoggletog? [Her tone of voice is borderlining on scandalized.] It's only our annual winter celebration.

Our? Well, everyone back home on Berk. And Hiccup, if you've met him yet.

It spans a few days, there's a lot of feasting and celebrating and Odin leaves gifts for the children in their helmets.

No it isn't. It's just a name, used to scare away trolls and gnomes like anyone else's back home.

Right, that's a thing not everyone knows about. It's a day in December when families get together and are filled with unnecessary stress over making a perfect dinner, and sometimes over whether or not you got someone a decent gift.
