[The recording starts with a soft clearing of her throat.]
I recognize that there are a number of... healers here, but I'd still like to introduce myself: I'm a doctor. Dr. Sung. It might not hold up a candle to some of the interesting things that I've seen so far, however-- I do have skills needed for first aide, when no one with these powers are around. That'll come in handy and I'm willing to teach it. I'd much rather people learn how to properly set breaks or deal with blood loss without magic of any kind just as much as with, for the sake of having all the bases covered.
[Dr. Sung pauses there, for a moment, but only a moment, before her tone softens:] Not just that, either. I'd like to be of help. In any way. That includes with personal things. I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with the term "therapy". I've been working as a psychiatrist as well for many years now. The offer's there, at least. Complete confidentiality. I'm not anyone's enemy.
That said: are there any other doctors here? That seems generic of me to ask, yes, bear with me-- I'd rather get in touch with as many as I can. [But considering she's a new face, she hopes that's understandable.] I'd like to get a better understanding of some other methods that might give me a better edge on keeping people healthy. It'd go a long way for me. Work generally gets my feet back under me.
Thank you, everyone, for your time.

I have known many doctors, but have never met a..."psychiatrist".
voice
She hums, thinking. There's a long way and an easy way to put it.]
Still a doctor, but one for the mind and not just the body. [Dr. Sung settles for easy. She never did like complications, so why would anyone else, right?]
no subject
Not that he'll call on her. He knows how disorders of the mind are treated and a) he has none and b) even if he did, he'd never willingly submit to treatment. Cold water baths? Being wrapped in blankets for days? Latest treatments or not, they sound unhelpful.]
I see.

What is it 'therapy's s'pose to entail? Some new kind of healing?
voice;
[It's extremely complicated, and not always easy to explain.]
Physical therapy for serious injuries to strengthen the body, as one example, and there's a number of options for mental and emotional hurts.
[Whether people agree that people need something like that or not, Dr. Sung would rather the option be there than not.]
voice;
There's a method for fixing bloody feelings now? What a cheery place your world must be.

Think of it this way: where I come from, there's no such word as... what was it you called it? Psychiatrist?

( VOICE )
I'm a doctor! [okay that was said a little too eagerly. gotta turn it down a notch.] I-I mean, I've just graduated medical school so I'm not quite as experienced as most veterans but I'm confident in my abilites.
( VOICE )
[Dr. Sung means it. She was the same. Hit the ground running, sure of herself and her abilities. Go you, Jude. You'll go far!]
Tell me, what field of medicine did you study? And what's your name?
no subject
My name is Jude Mathis - ah, sorry I didn't properly introduce myself before. [have a sheepish smile.] And it was just a general practice. I can treat injures & make diagnosis's.
[a beat.] Ah-- Of course that was in my world. We... do things a little differently there.

If you intend to make this teaching first aide thing a... thing, I could offer a place for it.

Would you happen to reside in Sigyn due to being a doctor, madonna?
[He's always wondered if most were just put there because of who they were, but not all doctors are good doctors, and not all people in Sigyn are healers like that, either.]
audio;
I live there, now. Odd as it feels to say that...
[Though now that she thinks about it...]
No one's said anything about that-- I'm not sure if it's because of that or something else entirely.
[The likely answer: she cares about people very deeply.]
