This post is addressed to those of you who were within the other world with me.

[And it's later than he wanted it to be, but the death had taken its' toll on him, and besides, there had been a great deal to consider. A very real, very loud part of him had wanted not to have to do this. To forget it all, to put the last six years of hell utterly behind him. However, he feels responsible;]

I've been here a few months, but I see now that I've been complacent. When I arrived, like the rest of you I found that my powers were gone. For me, that was a relief.

I don't remember hurting any of you down there, but my memories during a transformation aren't always the clearest. If any of you recall the green... thing, or were harmed by it in any way, please let me know. I'd like to make reparations in any way I can.

To the rest of you, whatever keeps the transformations from occurring is working again now that I'm... I suppose you could say up on the surface, or returned to this specific dimensional point. But since it's clear I can't rely on that to be true all the time, I think I have a duty to warn you. In the right conditions I'm a bomb waiting to go off, and in the event that something like this happens again, I'm probably going to be getting as far away from the you all as possible. Please don't come near me if you see me, and please don't try to stop me.

Anything in particular? Just what Asgard is, or what we're here to do too? How we can be here, and the abilities we've lost and been given?

Perhaps whatever you have the cleanest explanation for? If there's something about it all you do understand.

I don't know about understanding, honestly. It's something not even I have really been through. The only way our abilities being taken from us because we're from another world could make any sense, is if we're actually from another universe. Because I've been to loads of worlds without my double hearts or sight being affected at all. And by another universe I mean alternate universe, not parallel. Somehow, we're taken from so far away they need to make a bypass through their own soul to be able to keep us here. Now that is something.

Do you believe that? Believe in souls in a scientific sense?

In my time we've never measured anything like that.

Well. In a way. I usually call it life force, though.

And that's something measurable, quantifiable, reroutable through another soul?

If it exists, it can be used, with the right tools or abilities.

Is that true of everything? Surely there are forces that can't be harnessed- though I suppose yes, you're right, that's only a question of finding the right tools.

Exactly. I've transported a whole forest through the Time Vortex - well, a friend of mine did - because that forest knew how to transport that energy.

That's incredible.

I can't even imagine-

It was brilliant. One of the greatest things I've seen.

How did it work?

[Eyes shining, urging him for technical detail.]

Well. They'd made this... metal crown that worked as a relay. So, as soon as they had a mother ship - and by that I mean an actual mother - and put the crown on her, the life force moved from one living being to another, and then transmuted themselves into a sub-etheric wave band of light.

[ Pausing, checking if Bruce understands a lick of that. ]

Collecting and collapsing a vast amount of information and then storing it, essentially, in this condensed form inside the mind of the woman. It makes sense, in terms of pure storage capacity, though obviously the technology to even record that kind of information is centuries and a few paradigm shifts ahead of my time. Because what you're talking about isn't as simple as just recording an image- which we could do. You're talking about... about altering the forms of the beings themselves, taking that energy, that essence, and moving it through something as messy as a human mind.

I study gamma radiation, I'm fairly familiar with wave bands of light, but this- this is wild.

I know. Isn't it great?

It's amazing. Is it human technology? What year is it? We must be centuries away from anything like that-

2010. Plenty of aliens with advanced technology, but nothing like that.

Oh, I'm sure there's something like that out there. Who knows, maybe you'll get to see it. But don't worry; plenty of exciting developments in your future.

We've already had one alien invasion this year, I'm not sure how much more excitement Earth can handle right now.
