Day 363 (Morning); video

[Wesley’s face suddenly appears. He’s frustrated and tired despite a night of sleep (which was really just a night of tossing and turning). There are words and thoughts that need to be expressed but it’s hard to form all of that into something coherent especially when there’s a blond someone in his space.]

Spike. You’re suppose to be helping not rummaging through my cupboards.

Helping with what, exactly? [ the ex-vampire shot a look over his shoulder at the ex-ghost, one eyebrow climbing up into his hairline. ]

Explain...explain that place.

[As much as he doesn’t want to think about it, Wesley knows he should inform the people here about where the missing are and the troubles they were possibly facing]

If you’re not-- Fine, just don’t make a mess.

[He takes a moment to put whatever Spike was doing out of his head]

The people who have recently vanished are in fact in, well, possibly another dimension mirroring this one.

[ spike pokes his head out from the cupboard, a packet of tea in his hand marking him victorious. ] You lot ever see Wizard of Oz?

[Welp, the frowning is back]

Wizar- Are you- No, no, nevermind. I think I understand what he’s saying. The world we visited was grey and very hostile to those of us who had suddenly showed up. It also lacked a networking ability and people once again spoke their native language, which, for those not from modern Earth, made things even more difficult.

...Which doesn’t really matter now that we’re back, right? [ his gaze flicked to wes and then back to the feed, seemingly underwhelmed by the whole thing. ]

But others are still there and unless…

[His face heats up at the memory of the things he revealed to Fred]

Another thing is that we were under some compulsion to reveal things to people that we had kept private.

[Compulsion because like hell he had willingly told her the truth]

And our true natures were revealed.

Oh, right, that. You want milk in yours, Wes? [ spike was trying his best to stay casual, pouring himself a cup of tea and avoiding the other man’s bracelet as best he could. ]

[He nods but keeps frowning]

In truth I don’t know how we were brought back here; it’s all a bit blurry, but know that people are trapped in that place and it’s very likely they will stay there unless something drastic is done.

Or if they all die. [ he takes a sip of too-hot tea. ]

[Wesley just stares at the man. This is why Spike shouldn't be allowed to talk to people

[Wesley and Spike. Talk to one or both!]

And your idea of 'drastic' is what precisely?

[personal profile] becauseichooseto 2013-12-02 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[That, he can live with.] Well, such a dimension would hardly have the stability of our home ones. Even account for the current threat.

I'm am no expert in 'magics', I'm afraid. [Even saying it makes him wince.]

[He sighs. 'Gift'.]

As I understand it, it's out of his hands. In the other dimension, they would have their powers.

[personal profile] becauseichooseto 2013-12-06 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's a little confused. Having their powers there and not here does here no good for them, but it's helpful in that universe.] I shouldn't think they would feel that way. There are rampaging giants there.

[He sighs.] Yes, of course, it's a trap. Ridiculously elaborate and thus unstable trap, but there's little other use for it and it's certainly not a natural phenomenon.

['The Powers that Be'? Seriously?]

They're Giants. It's bad enough I have to call the ones on our side 'gods', must we refer to our enemies in such grand and dramatic terms? They're little more than squabbling children, their 'powers' not withstanding.

As for what they think they're gaining, I imagine its some from of intimidation. Which would perhaps be more effective if we, Traveller and native alike, were in anyway responsible for our presence here and could leave.

Needs must when the devil drives, it seems that, at least, has been made clear to them.

It isn't as if the gods have been spared consequences. I'm told that the crater just outside the city was due to Freyr getting himself killed once.

Dying wasn't drastic enough for you?
becauseichooseto: Standing hands behind his back (neutral)

[personal profile] becauseichooseto 2013-12-03 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I was wondering just what was drastic enough for you.
allbloodyhail: (butt face)

[personal profile] allbloodyhail 2013-12-19 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Good question. You could say we're still testing the bounds.
becauseichooseto: Miles Richardson as Rankov sees his prisoner is awake. (oh)

[personal profile] becauseichooseto 2013-12-19 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
For bounds, you generally have to have some form of a plan to find them.
allbloodyhail: (welp)

[personal profile] allbloodyhail 2013-12-19 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Plans are overrated.

[personal profile] becauseichooseto 2013-12-19 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds terribly rash and dramatic, Spike, but hardly helps the poor unfortunates stuck in this pocket dimension of Thiazi's.
allbloodyhail: (GIANT COCK...ROACH EYE)

[personal profile] allbloodyhail 2013-12-20 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
I got eaten by a giant, so forgive me not being more sympathetic, yeah?

Wes here got off easier. He just had to spill a secret-- huh.
becauseichooseto: Standing hands behind his back (neutral)

[personal profile] becauseichooseto 2013-12-20 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
Unfortunate. But I wasn't actually requiring sympathy; it's never been my policy to stand in the way of a bitter man, but this post had a point somewhere.

A secret? I don't understand.
allbloodyhail: (and tearing love apart)

[personal profile] allbloodyhail 2013-12-20 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, yeah. A secret. He told a secret and he got sent back.

[ this is starting to slot into place for spike now. ]
becauseichooseto: Standing hands behind his back (well then)

[personal profile] becauseichooseto 2013-12-20 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[He sees what he's trying to say, but a) that's not really how he got out and b) to what end is that useful?]

To whom? To you? To Thiazi?
allbloodyhail: (you listen to me bugs)

[personal profile] allbloodyhail 2013-12-21 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
To... a mutual friend of ours.
becauseichooseto: Miles Richardson as Rankov sees his prisoner is awake. (interesting)

[personal profile] becauseichooseto 2013-12-21 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I take it your mutual friend is not connected to Thiazi or have abilities that could possibly mix with dimensional constructs?
allbloodyhail: (don't come back for me)

[personal profile] allbloodyhail 2014-01-02 05:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[ that gives spike pause. but then he's shaking his head, hopefully before irving can catch it. ] No, she's - not connected to Thiazi.
becauseichooseto: Miles Richardson as Rankov sees his prisoner is awake. (surprise)

[personal profile] becauseichooseto 2014-01-02 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well. His mutual friend, whoever she is, sounds very interesting. Brax would like to meet her.] Well, then I don't see why we should correlate the two events. Unless that's the purpose of the dimension: but what would we know that would be at all useful?
allbloodyhail: (hawaii says what)

[personal profile] allbloodyhail 2014-01-03 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't say it was useful. Just that that was what he was doing when he got sent back.
becauseichooseto: Miles Richardson (as a proctologist) with a balloon animal on his head. For reasons. (siiigh)

[personal profile] becauseichooseto 2014-01-03 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, yes, I heard. But why did it sent him back is the question. It's hardly useful to Thiazi for people to spout secrets and send people back without some sort of benefit.
allbloodyhail: (:|)

[personal profile] allbloodyhail 2014-01-03 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, how should I know? Don't shoot the messenger, here.
becauseichooseto: Standing hands behind his back (trying my patience)

I'm not shooting anyone, I'm theorising.

It's most likely magic.

I hope you're not expecting us to do all the thinking.

[ But okay. ]

It is difficult to do anything about it when we do not know exactly what it is or how it's done.

So you're saying we should just wait it out like usual, then.

Thinking isn't really my strong suit, you might've noticed.
