[Vriska is still spending most of her time in her room.

She comes out sometimes, of course; she isn't a complete hermit anymore. But it's almost always only after the sun has gone down, and she usually uses that time to explore rather than to talk and make new friends. Approaching strangers in person isn't usually a smart thing to do where she comes from, and she isn't convinced that it isn't the same here. And with her power skill levels as rudimentary as they are, she isn't in any hurry to get into any fights. Losing is just humiliating.

That doesn't stop her from bugging people over the bracelets, though.]

Help me out here a little, because I am not totally convinced that people disappearing is a bad thing! As far as I'm concerned, you're all total pains, and if the "total pain" levels of this place are going down, I'm not complaining.

Instead, I want to know about that light. Is it normal? Does anybody know? Maybe somebody should investigate!

Some investigation has likely proceeded, but it appears that the principle sorts specialized in that sort of thing have disappeared themselves.

It is likely a precursor to some sort of hostile maneuvers on the part of one of our adversaries. I, personally, relish the challenge of retaliation without full complements of troops. I am told less agree.

Do you have a really good power or something?

In combat, no. Logistically? yes. Recall I fashioned the firearm for you with alchemization? I've been producing arms, weaponry and research supplements for months now.

I have ammunition to spare, and have been practically chomping at the bit for an opportunity to unleash some of it.

So your power is making shit for other people?

I am perfectly capable of shooting the eye of a needle off at a hundred paces, thank you very much. I have been practicing obsessively to get to this level, Serkets.

To be honest, the lessening of my prodigious might is annoying, but it is within tolerances so that I am no longer fetishizing the conversion of perfectly good bows into garrotes.
