By now, I'm sure you've all heard about Professor Snape's school. I'd like to make some inquiries to determine the viability of a specific course.
Would any of our potential students be interested in a course on ancient Egyptian rites and rituals, one which featured a term-long mummification project? I imagine baby crocodiles might be the easiest option for mummification (I'm not sure I could stomach mummifying cats, and humans are, of course, right out), but the specific animal will depend on a number of factors.
Students for such a class would ideally be at least fifteen years old, though exceptions might be made for unusual cases. In addition to the matter of actually mummifying an animal, students should expect two hours of lecture and discussion per week and reading assignments throughout the term, as well as a final exam.
Please let me know if you'd be interested in participating in this class.
Regardless of your interest in this particular course offering, I hope you'll all consider attending the school.

Are there crocodiles living in the city?
And these are the completely inanimate sort of mummy, I assume?
no subject
And yes, they're going to be thoroughly inanimate.

I almost wish I was fifteen again. I've always been fascinated with the art - their paintings. On the walls. I've only seen bits and pieces of it through the London evening paper.

Oh boy. Digestion-related wordplay and murder. This is familiar. Hopefully the screening process is thorough.
Not that Will sees everyone as serial killers, of course, but it just hits a little close to home.]
I don't think the Egyptians would be pleased if anyone taught mummification on cats. [Hopefully she won't teach with dogs, either.] That's an interesting thing to know how to do. Where'd you learn?
no subject
"Know how to do" might be pushing it, as I've never tried before. But I've read enough on the subject to think I could; ancient Egypt is my area of study.
