[ The Hatter has been staring at his bracelet for the better part of an hour.
Luckily for you guys, it's been on. That whole time. ]
What kind of a mirror is this? It doesn't even give you a decent reflection. It's useless! Like wings without a hammer, or whiskers without a nose. It can tell you the Time, and the countless names of people I've never met (nor intend to meet), but it can't tell me what I look like, which is surely its entire reason for existing.
[ This is the look of a man distinctly unimpressed with the way Asgard does things. ]
I wonder, then, if it has another reason for existing. A secret one, hidden behind the glass? Or through the glass, if I should be more proper.
[ Oh, now he's tapping the glass. That's probably going to hurt your ears if you have the volume turned up all the way, but hey, he's curious and this is clearly some sort of witchcraft. Something the Queen's come up with to keep tabs on him. Or worse, perhaps it's Time's way of continuing his mockery, despite being as far away from Wonderland as can be. ]
Staring at me won't do you any good, will it? You'll only see what I'm doing, not what I'm thinking! And I won't be doing anything out of the ordinary, anyway- only-
[ Time isn't standing still, like it usually is. Has he forgiven him? No, of course he hasn't, he's the type to hold a grudge, he always has been.
So that's interesting, isn't it? Definitely something to look into, should he get the Time. ... And since he has him now, he might just... go and do that. With the camera still on.
Have fun with that, Asgard. ]

A very familiar face.
A very, very, very familiar face. A face that she didn't think she could see except outside of her own head.
Because that's where that face belonged.]
[Video] 2/?
Well, not plain.
The Mad Hatter was anything but plain.]

Ah, it's just as I thought. A something that looks like a something but is in fact another something entirely.
[ He looks so proud of himself. ]
...But what is an audio-video communicator? What does it do, and does it know why it does it? Is it aware that it's communicating?

A warm smile will be offered as Soushi allows the to speak through the video option instead of voice or audio.]
"Through the glass" is an excellent way to describe these communication devices as they are used to look at others than our true selves. They are not the best mirrors to use, I'm afraid.
[Then he will add.]
It is not possible to read your mind or know your thoughts unless you were currently cursed or someone with telepathy was close by. There are those with such a power.
[Now for the introduction.]
Welcome to the city. If you have any questions over the bracelet or current situation, then do not hesitate to ask. I will do my utmost to be as helpful as I can.
permavideo;
Yes, I thought it rather ingenious. So, they're somewhat like a reverse mirror? A mirror that shows everyone else, but not yourself?
[ Which sort of reminds him of ... well, Wonderland. Wonderland tends to do things like that. This whole place is topsy turvy, though. Things just don't seem to make as much sense as they did in Wonderland. ]
My thoughts aren't for other people to hear! They're mine, and they're for me to do what I will with them. I should hope they ask permission before perusing through my thoughts, it'd be very rude to do just at the drop of a hat.
[ Hatter is most displeased. People hearing his thoughts! They wouldn't be much use to anyone else, not when he's so used to using them to talk to himself. Inside his head. That's a perfectly normal thing to do! ]
Thank you. I'll not hesitate at all.

I've never written on such an arduous device before. It takes up too much of my time, and I don't have any to spare.
[ wait what. ]
The things I think are thoughtful, whilst the things you think are doubtful. I know which way I'd prefer to be!

It's while the man with the ridiculous hat - and it's not just the name but said ridiculous hat that has Severus realising that this is the Mr. Hatter Miss Liddell has oft told him about - is wandering around apparently doing nothing that Severus cuts in with a loud and firm voice.]
Turn that thing off at once.
