One Copied Jutsu | Accidental Voice
[The audio function abruptly turns on, and captures Gaara speaking in mid-sentence.]
-truly be functional? Violence is not conducive for bonds of this nature. For civilians, even less so, compared to shinobi.
[Even though Gaara is the leader of an entire village there are still things he doesn't understand. Like relationships. Especially relationships.]
In spite of his defection, and their attempts to harm each other after the fact, they have still maintained their ties…
[A brief pause, and then he recounts.] Earlier, you mentioned that they dine together frequently. This activity isn’t exclusively exchanged between couples, correct? Naruto and I have done so as well, but we are not romantically involved.
[There's the sound of shifting as Kakashi puts his hands into his pockets.]
Naruto is not the sort to give up so easily. [Something Gaara knows well.] Especially on another person he has a bond with.
[After not having bonds for most of his life, giving one up is just not something Naruto's willing to do.] I said nothing of them dining together. Merely that Naruto is often found at Sasuke's residence, eating.
[That, he does, although it sounds like they have a great deal of lost time to account for, given the distance between them, back in their world.]
It must be mutual, on some level. If Sasuke placed no value on Naruto’s life, then he would seek his death. Does Sasuke bear an emotional attachment toward him, then?
[That is a more complicated and difficult question. If asked Sasuke might say he didn't. Last time they were together they went at each other like they were going to kill each other. But even then he believes there was still a bond between them.]
If he didn't have one then he wouldn't acknowledge Naruto's existence. [Even when seeking Itachi's death, there was still an emotional attachment - though it was one of hatred.]
Mmm.
[After that noise of agreement, Gaara releases a low grunt as he folds his arms over his chest. He shifts uncomfortably for a moment, before finally getting out the most difficult question on his mind.]
…How does one determine if he is worthy of receiving love? Whether or not he is capable of pursuing this particular type of bond?

[She sounds way too enthusiastic.]

It appears that it is.

[There's a moment where she "lets" that happen.]
You're only worthy of love if you have a few qualities. One, you're attractive, two, you pass the test I designed like, five months ago, and three, you're not a troll.
video.
[His eyes widen with surprise, and then he quickly tries to wipe away that emotion, enough to respond coolly.]
Not intentionally.

[She winces.]
Face tattoos only have a place if you're one of the edgy villains of a sci-fi movie that doesn't even get any lines.

There's little doubt in his mind as to exactly what she means by those statements. She is the second person to tell him that he isn't suitable for this type of bond, and he's starting to wonder if they are right after all. Instead of letting any signs of hurt slip through the cracks, Gaara just hardens his expression. He refuses to show any signs of weakness, particularly to a stranger.]

It is a scar, not a tattoo. Furthermore, the black rings are derived from sleep deprivation.

action.
That would depend on a person's morals. Someone could be the most terrible being in the land and still expect to be loved.

Expect... [Gaara murmurs quietly, and then shakes his head.] I was told that not everyone is suitable.
[And after a pause, he suddenly looks a little anxious.] I'm sorry. For the... inconvenience.

End this recording, please.

I hadn't realized it was recording.

They seem to love each other anyway, so you shouldn't need to worry about it. I honestly thought they were married with the way they act anyway.
Married...? [That's... a new label for those two.] Why do you hold this belief?
The only time I've seen people bicker like they do and get along at the same time those people are married. Or they already had a thing for each other in the place.
[The only other thing they could be are siblings, but those two have kiss so that couldn't be it.]

Do you two seriously have nothing better to talk about?

The other issues that we discussed were not recorded. [Fortunately.]

voice;
As someone who understands very little over the topic, as I have fallen in love twice and still hold those precious emotions for her, my response is -- everyone is worthy of receiving love and affection. If someone such as myself can fall in love, then anyone is able to do so.
Love...it is one of the vital emotions we all possess as there are many different versions of the very same emotion that can range from platonic and romantic. As I have explained to you beforehand about friendship, it is a matter that one, as an individual, needs to figure out if one wishes to pursue after a particular bond. After all, any forms of love takes time to create and maintain. [At least, that is the way he views the matter.]
voice; private
Given your demeanor and devotion, I wouldn't have doubted your capability to experience this emotion. [Because it seems as though Soushi is saying he doesn't hold that same expectation. How peculiar.
Gaara will stay quiet for a moment, processing and absorbing this information.]
I am not unwilling. However... [He doesn't want to admit that he's afraid.] ...I must gather additional information, on the methods of pursuit.
voice; private
However, at his next statement, Soushi will simply listen to Gaara while trying to read his non-verbal cues. Either way, Soushi will decide that he should show Gaara what he knew. At the very least, he will use his experience for good.]
I do not recommend the method of acquiring information over this topic from books. Love and searching for it, it is not a skill that needs to be taught, but one that needs to be cultivated through conversation and interest. Even so, it is not a skill unless you wish to...charm others instead of taking the time to create a meaningful relationship with the one you have interest in.
All I can advice is -- simply be yourself, show genuine interest in the other person, and learn when it is the best time to prove your interest through body language. Timing is as important as the former that I had listed.

[Oh Gaara, such a puppy.]
