They do have a tendency towards British accents, I'll give you that. Aliens, I mean. Though that might have more to do with the TARDIS' translation matrix or whatever he calls it than the commonality of British accents.

I thought they didn't have the fancy spaceship here? Because I definitely met an alien with an accent. Maybe he was just nuts.

Nope, just a global economy crash and a black president. Not that they're a package deal, but it does sound pretty late night Sci-Fi movie when you say it like that.
