Hey, everyone. There’ve been more of us showing up lately, so… Rise suggested that we all get together. We should hold a meeting somewhere, maybe after the festival’s over. I know we don’t have to deal with Shadows here, but it still might be useful for us to share stories and compare notes.
Minako, Minato, Mitsuru – if any of you want to take charge of this meeting, go ahead. [Akihiko has leadership experience too, and wields that position whenever it’s needed, but isn’t looking to step on anyone’s toes.]
Oh, and you guys can use this post to introduce yourselves, if you want. I’m Akihiko. I know most of you already. [His expression eases into a casual and friendly look as he cocks his head to the side a bit.] Enjoy the rest of the festival, okay? We have a little more time for fun before we get back to work.

[He scratches his head for a moment, trying to think of how to explain the sort of things he's had drummed into his head since he was a little kid just from experience.]
Right. Yukata, you're gonna want just cotton or something like that, but it ain't as big a deal. That can be whatever you like. Kimono, look for the nice stuff. Uh - thicker, stuff that flows, yeah? I'll be able to tell you better when I see it. If it's cheap it's gonna look like crap. ...You said you didn't want any of the fancy shit on there so we ain't gonna have to worry about that. Just something for the inside 'n the lining.
[And somewhere across the divide of the universes, Kanji's teachers spontaneously have a headache at the thought that this guy actually knows things.]

For the kimono, you mean better materials, right? I had one back home that was made from silk. [Akihiko waves a hand casually.] Don't worry about expenses. I want this to last, and look good. Though, fancy designs and stuff are usually on kimono for girls.
[They should have assigned him to a home ec class... He would easily ace it.]

[He's smiling, here, looking generally pretty confident. How the heck is this going so well for him? He's ... so not used to it.]

The fabric store should have some. I remember seeing denim material while I passing by once, so you could even make jeans, if you wanted to. Do you need a machine too?
[Akihiko definitely notices it, and smiles again.]
Is sewing a hobby of yours? No wonder you got the ability to make things. It sounds pretty fitting.

And you got it. My family owns a textile shop... I kinda got into it as a kid.
[And how long would it have taken him to admit that in the old days? Before the TV, before all the coming to terms he's done? Honestly, there's still a little voice in the back of his head that's expecting Akihiko to start pointing and laughing...]

That explains it. You must be really good with your hands, then. Don't worry about the drawing thing - there are books to teach you that skill too. Like everything else, it just takes practice to get better at.
I'll be sure to show my friends what the end product looks like. They might wanna ask you to make something for them too, you know.

And yeah. There's three of my senpai who're in the team with us, and there's Teddie... he's, uh. Kinda a special case.
[The slightly shifty look on his face is that of someone who's not quite sure if he should be letting on about the whole 'friendly sentient Shadow' deal as of yet.]
