ooc: Just want to apologize for kind of dropping the ball all over the place in this game lately but my life has gotten insanely busy and I may have to drop some older stuff. There are threads I definitely intend to continue but I'm afraid the pace might be pretty glacial and if you get an ancient tag from me that you don't want to reply to I understand that perfectly. The apples that give visions, I would like to ask those of you who have tasted them if you believe that what you see is an actual possible future?

[ Not the future because while Ghanima is no stranger to inevitability, she still believes that the future can change. In this case especially considering the fact that they are apparently fighting for the continued existence of all universes here. ]

I am also curious if there are any here who have entered into arranged marriages or similar agreements, if you feel as if that is something you would be comfortable with discussing.

What's an arranged marriage?

One that wanted people with powers to all be under control, working together. The ones I was with wanted the freedom to work on their own, as they saw fit.

I sort of ended up with one by accident of some joker trying to fight me before then.

The second is a touchy matter, but - if she's familiar with it, then maybe it will not be as difficult as it has been with those that don't understand. ]

I had yet to be wed by the time my father passed, but I have been raised under the knowledge my marriage will be to the benefit of my kingdom. I don't suppose that should change much now that I am King.

[ It is a choice that she has already made, though in truth it was not entirely her own. Many minds worked together to decide with and for her who should be the father of her children. She had seemed content enough in her vision, but rather than seeing it as a reassurance, Ghanima finds herself somewhat troubled by it. ]

Contentment has little to do with kingship or any political alliance. It's convenience and reassurance - solidifying bonds of loyalty.

[ It may sound like he's simply regurgitating what he's been taught, but there's an edge of frustration because a much simpler answer would be no. ]

[ Ghanima hears that edge, and understands the need to hold on to what you have been told to make your peace with something inevitable. ]

That is true. Do you expect to grow fond of your future spouse?

I haven't been in an arranged marriage before, but I know a few people who have. Or nearly had.
