[The TARDIS has several paint cans at her feet, all of various colors and a bag of brushes.]

Today is quite boring so I thought I'd do something interesting. Who wants to help me paint the town? Paint whatever you'd like - make a mural, just throw paint at the walls, have fun with it. Though do try not to paint the people, I don't imagine they'd like that. We'll brighten this place us. Gray is dull and drab.

I've even got the paint to get you started. So come on by Thor House 103 to get supplies.

[Yes Thor. She was serious about painting the town. This is why you don't give the TARDIS permission to do these kind of things.]

A little man with a gold tint to his skin and brilliant gold eyes--someone who the TARDIS may or may not recognize, depending on how closely she watches Alice--arrives at the house and knocks politely, having slowly learned that it's generally expected among humans to knock on doors instead of climbing through windows as he usually did back home.]

[When his knock comes it's the TARDIS who answers the door. She doesn't watch Alice that closely but the TARDIS can put things together. This is the man who made the post about the ghosts, the man Jack Frost spoke of to her the other day. "Sandy" as it were. The TARDIS greets him with a smile. Chances are good that they'll be seeing a lot of each other in the future.]

Hello, you here for the painting?

[Well, you have him at a disadvantage that he's unaware of, miss. He doesn't know your name.

But he doesn't mind that for now as he just bounces on the balls of his feet and nods. Yes, he's here for painting. He'd like to plaster the city in murals, possibly with children. He's sure this will be especially fun for little boys and girls, and hopefully helpful for the city.]

[She's making it her business to get to know the people in Alice's life now that she's practically adopted the girl.]

[The TARDIS gestures to the buckets of paint at her feet.] Take your pick!

[River doesn't bother to respond via the comms, instead choosing to simply show up at the door with a smile and an eager expression on her face.] I can help. [She sounds much more cheerful than she did the last time she interacted with the TARDIS, even going so far as to bounce on the balls of her feet as she smiles.]

[There's nothing wrong with showing up in person. In fact, she welcomes it.]

You have a good selection of colors, I see. [He approves.] Though about those rules... no tinkering? Why not? It would make everyone's life easier, I'm sure.

Don't think I've forgotten that you're the one that fiddled with my chameleon circuit and got it functioning - incorrectly.

You are a good deal more complicated, fiddly, and, quite plainly, stubborn than a dishwasher. And nothing in the house is going to have a chameleon circuit, not unless someone is trying to get out of doing the sweeping.
