[ On the Network today is an anonymous post, with what appears to be a transcribed fairy tale. How interesting... and random. ]

The God of Peace is always busy.
He is too busy to look in a mirror, and blows his horn every day.
The God of Peace's horn makes everyone happy.

The God of Peace is always busy.
He is too busy to look in a mirror, and pours his magical water.
The magical water creates green mountains, ripens crops, and makes flower gardens grow.

The God of Peace is always busy.
He is too busy to look in a mirror, and gives everyone a name.
"Your name is Otto. Your name is Hans. Your name is Thomas. Your name is Johan."
Johan gave his hat to the god as a gift in return.

The god was very happy.
Because he wanted to see himself wearing the hat, he stood in front of a mirror for the first time.
However, what he saw in the mirror was a demon. From inside the mirror, the demon spoke to him. "I am you, and you are me."

"Oh no! No one can live in peace with a demon like this! What should I do?"

So the troubled god ...

Tell me. How does the story end?

He needed to learn that just cause he is what he is doesn't mean he can't still make his own decisions.

Perhaps he did.

How would you end the story?

I'd say he decided to try to be peaceful anyway. See how it went. That's all anyone can do, isn't it? Try? Even gods.

And if trying becomes fruitless? What then?

[personal profile] usandthedead 2013-09-02 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Then you try again. That's the only way I know. You might adjust the how but not what you're trying for if it's worth having. Peace seems worth having.

Does a demon deserve peace?

[personal profile] usandthedead 2013-09-02 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Think anyone who works toward peace deserves it, no matter what they are.

No matter what?

[personal profile] usandthedead 2013-09-02 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Wouldn't go that far. Every rule's got an exception. World isn't black and white no matter what you are, human or not.

What would be an exception in the case of the demon?

[personal profile] usandthedead 2013-09-03 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Guess it depends on the demon. Probably good to go on a case by case basis. Right?

What act would make it worthy of being destroyed?

[personal profile] usandthedead 2013-09-06 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Guess if it was hurting innocent people. That would cross a line for me. What would cross a line for you?
