[The plan had been to test the waters of this place. To lay low and not even make a big wave. She wanted to see what all had gone on in this place. She wanted to straighten her hair and put on the bland, boring Elena smile and breathe too much when she spoke. She wanted to just pretend to be the good girl and avoid anyone that might have known her -- actually knowing she was back.

The bracelet couldn't be routed around. Her name. Plain as day would be right there in that corner. Anyone that wanted to call her out on it could and that just is ridiculous.

Which is why instead she's just herself. She's pushing that envelope a bit and taking a risk. She likes risks.]

So, it seems this place opted to keep me. Lucky you. I'm Katherine. [She exhales and shifts slightly.]

She's a little surprised she's not trying to pass off as Elena since that's, more often than not, Katherine's schtick, but she's also too smart for that.
