022 ✿ Audio

[Euri isn't in the greatest of moods. It's been several days since she's even been to her and Draco's shop thanks to being sick, and because Draco's been grey that means all the damage from the break-in has just been sitting there, unattended, for far too long.]

This is awful. Just - ugh! So annoying! And not just because so many of us got sick. Some of us have to pay for the damages done to our shops on top of that!

If I haven't made it clear, Asclepius got hit by that damn spy. Draco's - tied up, and I've been sick, so clean up hasn't even started yet. I'm not sure when the shop will be open again, but it's going to be a few more days at least.

[She huffs in annoyance, not at all prepared to deal with this after being sick.]

This is bullshit! None of this would've happened if we had killed the spy right away. The people who voted to imprison him should be paying to fix all the damage he did, including the profit loss any shops are having to deal with from being closed to clean up. It's only fair, after all!

Yes, that's true. So are ye going to pay for their losses as well, then? Because as I see it, ye had a hand in what happened just as much as we did. It was your stock that helped get people sick.

[There's a pause, but for only a second, because he's not done just yet.]

And before ye start trying to pass that off on us too, tell me what it is ye did to stop someone from breaking in and stealing things in the first place. Things, I might add, that are dangerous if put together the wrong way.
bonnypiperlad: (yet another hrmph)

Oh, aye, of course they weren't.

[Luckily, she can't see him roll his eyes at that - or see his mouth tug off to one side right after, although given his tone it's probably not hard to figure out what he's doing.]

Look, never mind the cabinets. My point is that ye thought the precautions ye had were enough to stop someone, and they weren't. And the people who voted to keep the spy alive thought the precautions the gods put in place to keep him imprisoned were going to be enough, too. If you're saying that's a mistake, then maybe ye made one yourself as well.
bonnypiperlad: (Riiight.)

I don't think they're as different as ye seem to think they are, Euri.

[But she's probably not going to listen to him anyway, either on that or about the gods, and he shakes his head, even though she can't see it.]

That's not true, though. Some of them did, aye, but I know Loki at the very least thought imprisonment was better because it'd stop Thiazi from getting at the spy's soul. And he seemed pretty confident that a place built by multiple gods to keep someone prisoner was going to work. So what does that tell you, then?

[He's going to ignore the huffing - at least for now - and is fairly matter of fact when he responds.]

Question him to get information, anything useful he'd actually managed to pick up. Or even things that he might not have thought was useful, maybe. Who knows what sorts of things she was looking for?
bonnypiperlad: (So...)

Can't ye? You're a Witch, Euri. Would ye not say that with the right sort of magic ye could do things other people can't?

From everything I've heard, Thiazi's very powerful. Who's to say she's not got a way to do that?
bonnypiperlad: (seriously?)

We're in a city full of gods, Euri, remember? Who's to say that Thiazi doesn't have powers like they do too?
bonnypiperlad: (So...)

Aye, maybe so. But if she didn't have something, wouldn't the gods already have won this Ragnar-whatever?

Or maybe I'm right and there's more to her than we think. If that's the case, then there's no telling what she might be able to do.
