- well, it's a new room. Bigger, more homey than the dorm-style rooms of the God Houses, and his candle number appears to have doubled to compensate. The light is still flickering and uneven, but it's much brighter than it was during his broadcasts from Baldr. Anyhow, those who were there to hear him rant and rave about Freya being spared and Freyr being saved might think he's appeared to shit all over that party, but he's staying quiet on that front for now. (Who knows how many psycho kids one of them might have, after all.)]

Since we're so big on Democracy here, thought I'd put something up to a vote.

Instead of random surges in our powers that have nothing to do with anything, how about the gods put their heads together and see if they can gather up enough strength to make the powers work outside the city? Y'know, where most people are actually being attacked and either dying or coming close to it?

It's just a thought.

Actually, from what I've heard they're supposed to be limitless. That's kinda what makes them gods. Omnipotent, y'know? Otherwise they might as well be really strong mutants.

I know some of us can heal, but that would...suck, yeah.

Frak if I know how this god stuff works here. They're...not the ones I prayed to back home. I'm still not sure what to make of them. But this is their home so things could be different here than we'd expect in regards to what we know of gods, I don't know.

Back home, I was willing to risk my life going back to Caprica to retrieve the Arrow of Apollo for the President, to help us find the way to Earth, according to our scriptures. I'm willing to do what I can to defend people here. None of us asked for this. Still not sure what to make of them saying our homes are in danger though. Unless they want to blow up Galactica, we don't currently have one ourselves.

Not the first time I've heard that story. But they're talking whole universes, so you'd still be pretty screwed.

Yeah, if what they say is true. And I don't know if anyone here is willing to risk them being right and putting their homes at risk by not fighting.

I'm not doing shit for them. Everyone else can cover their asses all they want, I'm not getting into this war no matter what's at risk. Not with what they took from me.

Locked away? I didn't really think about how exactly they replace people's powers when they arrive. I guess it doesn't matter to me personally anyway. I'm just a regular, frakked up human.

Well, I won't believe they actually got into my DNA and pulled out the gene that makes me what I am. Gods or not, that's too screwed up, especially gods this crappy.

I wonder how they do it then. Just--sort of supress it for the time being while you are here, somehow? Not that I would know how any of this sort of thing works, but that is...interesting to consider. Given how different people's powers might have been back home, I mean.

No idea right now. Even people who have things like magic don't forget how they used it, it just dries up. But we'll find out.

The gods kind of--blocking it or something somehow would be my guess, if people still have their powers or whatever when they go home. How do you intend to find out, exactly? Asking them, you think they will be able to explain it or even have the time?

That depends on what's at stake, which is about all I'll say.
