The Magic of Giving
[Video]
[She's been hesitant to put out the message, but... She's not sure what to do, and she knows that trying to sort out everything by herself will probably just result in her messing everything up, as usual.
So, after some trepidation, a teary-eyed Hibiki shows up on the feed.]
U-umm... Norman-san is gone, if... If anyone was wondering why they can't contact him.
[She takes a small breath, steadying herself.]
He left everything to me, so... So I'll be taking care of Mary. But there's another thing he left behind, and I'm not really sure...
[She trails off before shaking her head and pointing the camera at what appears to be some kind of large robot.]
I... I don't know what to do with this, so... I thought it would be better if it went to somebody who does. So... If somebody would like to take it, I would be very grateful.
[Once again, she falls silent for a moment, but with nothing else to really say she decides to end the feed there. Rather than returning home right away, she curls up next to the foot of the robot, idly petting Mary while she waits to see if anyone responds.]
((OOC: The elven mecha is slated to go to Kaworu, but people are still free to bring it up! I'll just be tagging those as if they occurred after it was decided regardless of the actual order.))

Normal people, I guess...?
[It's perfectly normal to get annoyed when a child cries too much.]

Eh--
[Was she wrong?]
Have people told you they hate you, Hibiki?
Mostly they... didn't talk to me at all.
It's because I cried a lot. After a while, everyone just ignored me. I couldn't... even play with them.
That kind of thing... You'd have to hate someone to do that, wouldn't you?

[If it wasn't cutting a person away entirely, what else could there be?]

In my universe, there's a species... A feared, horrifying, terrible species, alien, that goes by the name of Dalek. They used to be not very different from us, from you, humans, but there was a scientist who changed them. A Dalek is made, created, and what you do... is you subtract everything... compassionate. Love, sympathy, caring, mercy. You strip that away, and plant one single thought in their mind, one single core thought; Daleks are superior and everything else must be destroyed. They do not care for a single. Thing.
[ He punctuates the last two words with shakes of his finger. ]
Not even themselves.
Hatred looks like a Dalek. Hatred is... obsessive, it swallows you, strips you of everything you once were and leaves you an empty shell that hardly knows anything else.
Wh-why...
Why would they do that...?
[Video] 1/2
[ He's silent for a decent while. ]
I think I've forgotten how tragic they are.
[ It takes him a moment of scrubbing his hand over his face and... sighing, before he sucks in a deep breath and gathers himself together. ]

She's seen people consumed by hatred before, but that didn't mean she wanted bad things to happen to them. A bit of her heart goes out to those creatures, terrifying as they may be.
But as for the Doctor's words...]
I... don't think that's true, though. I know it's not.
People... Humans care, that's what you do, that's what's so wonderful about you. You... cry when you're happy, you lash out when you're scared, you can do anything in the name of love. And if you hear about a stranger dying, you get sad, and you have quiet minutes and memorials and... If someone in your life, even if you've never really talked or even thought to look at that someone twice, if they die... You don't just... not notice.
I--
Had to leave. They didn't need me, so... I couldn't stay at home.
[She hadn't seen the reaction for herself, but... She doesn't think it's likely that anyone noticed, or if they did, they particularly cared.]
Where I used to live…?
[Isn’t that what a home is?]
I... wanted to stop crying. They always got mad when I cried, and I didn't want to... make them like that.
