You know of Apollo? I prayed to Artemis and Athena back home myself. Though it seems these gods here are different.

My people pray to an Apollo. Whether it is the same as the one to whom your people prayed, I cannot be certain. There are so many of us here from different worlds.

Nodens and Ogmios mostly, if you want to get technical about things, but I wouldn't call myself the religious type. The kings under the hill have slept for a long time, far away in Tir na Nog. We just held onto the last vestiges of the old ways in my world, glimmers of the power they wielded.

Yours and mine... they never got along too kindly. Something my mother mentioned about Gaul. [there's a rueful smirk on her face. Wisdom is a good one but of what use can it be if you do not utilize it instead of just learning and hoarding it. Many with knowing keep the means to educate others to themselves, seeing it as they have to lead the masses toward what they themselves feel is the right path based on their knowledge. When sometimes it's not the correct path at all. [He shrugs, that's his two bits.]

And war, from what I've seen, has never done anyone any favors, there's far too much of it. Indulgence driving the both of them too far to do any good.

This is a great truth. A victory of knowledge can be greater than a victory on the battlefield and one that lasts longer in history.

Wisdom. It's a balance between war and intelligence. Too much war and when you're idle you're lost. Too much intelligence and you can trap yourself forever in your own designs.
