[Samantha's in motion, looking around the massive, forceful bloom with a look on her face that's old and familiar to those who know her reasonably well. She's paranoid and suspicious, and her voice has that growling quality that it always does when she's assuming the worst.]

Let me guess. This place looks like springtime from hell for everyone too, right? If the plants start attacking, burn 'em to the ground. Just take my word for it. You're better off.

Look, any of you getting a weird surge in your powers right about the time it felt like you had a heart attack? I've got a damned bad feeling about it, but I'm better than I should be. I need to do some testing on this. Anyone who's got the balls, meet me out at Gefion and I'll play puppet master with you. I've got some potions to help keep it going, but if anyone from Heimdall or Freya could help extend this, I want to know exactly what my limits are.

Seriously, this is important, and I'll be sending the results out to Merlin and the Teacher's Council when we're done. I'll toss in dinner for someone from Heimdall with the ability to boost powers.

I'll guarantee it. They didn't believe me the last time the plants bloomed either, though thankfully there weren't any giant flytraps that time.

Thankfully this place doesn't seem that dangerous. At least on a regular basis.

I sort of make it a personal rule never to assume with these things. The odds of something going haywire are always too high, and I just don't like giant plants that aren't proper trees.

It's only the really old forests you need to worry about. The old growth's where the problems come in, where the forest is old enough to have a personality of it's own.
