[Hello, Asgard. Look who is finally making his first post to the network? Jack is sitting on a roof and enjoying a blue popsicle. It seems their little trip to the cold lands wasn't enough ice for him.]

Moral of the story: 'frost giants' aren't as cool as they sound.

[...it's a joke, ok, don't judge him ~~much~~. He needs to deal somehow with the fact the trip pretty much sucked. Jokes are also his way of trying to break the ice ~~see what I did~~. Answering to people's silly thoughts? No problem. Starting conversation by his own? That's gonna need more practice.]

Someone mentioned weapons when I arrived, and how I should I ask the network about it. Maybe you do have an idea of what to do about--

[He uses telekinesis to make the two halves of a shepherd crook float next to him.]

--this. Because without my original powers, my staff is now just... a piece of wood, I guess.

[Brilliant deduction, Jack. All these changes are sure bothering you, huh?]

This "stick"- [He points at the floating pieces with the popsicle.] -has kicked more butt than you think, blondie. Not my fault the higher-ups stripped it from its powers.

[Oops.

He's pretty sensitive about it all himself actually. Knows what it's like to be powerless.]

Ah--- That sticks got your power in it?

[Naruto's change of attitude is noticed by Jack, and he tries to deal with the frustration a little better.]

Not got it, exactly, it just was... a way to channeling it. I said bye bye to my powers, now it looks like it's time for my staff to do the same. [He goes back to his popsicle, hiding a bit of sulking with it.]

[He's like that-- highly strung perhaps, but he really hasn't come to terms with being here either, despite whatever he says to Sasuke.]

Oh. Right.

Yeah, y'mean when you got here right? I lost 'em too. Guess we all did. S'probably for the best yeah?

[But Sasuke has something big up his ass, why would you listen to him?]

Yeah, that's what I meant. [Jack keeps sucking his popsicle while thinking about Naruto's question. The boy doesn't seem to mean anything bad with it, but he can't help wondering 'what the hell'.]

How is it "probably for the best"?

[You'd listen to your friend too- you know, if he was your friend.]

Oh-- Well, you know 'cause if you did have 'em you'd explode like those other guys did?

[Sadly Jack can get that, considering the grumpy rabbit he's friends with. Don't try to make him admit it though.]

Yeah, yeah, that's a nice warning and all, but if another house already has my old powers, I don't get why I just wasn't sent there then.

[Jack arches an eyebrow.]

So you... attacked from hidden places and threw metal stars?

[He doesn't really want to talk about it - he knows a few larger than life animals himself...]

Oh? Really? So - you make ice or something? What does Loki do?

What? No. Well, yeah but - I can use all kinds of jutsu and stuff. Well, you know, back home?

[But multi-tailed foxes are cool! They like pranks!]

I had winter powers, so yeah. Ice, snow, wind too. Loki just left me with telekinesis.

[And boy does he sound annoyed about that.]

Yeah, yeah, back home. [A sigh.] Alright mister ninja, so you lost your powers and the honor of your emperor, what can you do now?

[Yeah, and they're so close to making a break through here! Do you know how weird it is to wonder what's going on with him right now?]

Oh, really like you could just make it snowy and stuff?

[Ah, hey - shut up, yeah?]

I got some weird-- energy transfer thing.

[Oh, believe me, Jack totally knows. If someone can complain about changes in his body, it's him.

Naruto's definition of a snow day makes Jack chuckle.] I'm the Spirit of Winter. I was in charge of "making it snowy".

That's what ninjas do, right? Protect the emperor. Or shogun, or whatever. I'm not good at history. [After the first century it's hard to keep track of when each country decides to change systems.] So you don't have a power for yourself? Ouch. Sorry, man.

[Maybe they'd have plenty to talk about?]

Oh, really? So, you live someplace cold?

What? No. I protect our village. You know, from threats an' stuff. Do jobs to make sure everyone's safe and things--

[Might just be underestimating things a bit here.]

... Yeah, but what about the places where it ain't winter? Doesn't snow in Konoha. Why don't you fly there?

Oh. What, d'ya need to buy 'em or something? What kinda weapons have they got? Why didn't you just use one of them instead of your-- stick thing. You know, if it ain't got powers here.

Because... I've never heard of a Konoha place. In what part of Japan is that in?

[Because that's where Naruto is from, right?]

I guess so, I don't know the details. I've seen swords mostly. And well... [He shrugs and gives his attention back to the popsicle. he isn't sure he can even explain to Naruto what the staff means to him.]

Japan? [Frowning again. He's pretty expressive after all.]

Yeah, Japan. Land of ninjas, samurais, sushi and cartoons with bigger eyes than Santa.

[Blondes aren't usual there, though. Maybe Naruto is a gal, ha.]

I wanna fix my staff, make it stronger. It's what I'm used to fight with.

[Naruto gets an "are you kidding?" look from Jack.]

[That look though. He's still offering a frown, and maybe that was a roll of his eyes too.]

[Jack will keep his 'are you kidding me' expression, thank you.]
