Hey, why did you move out?

[He has no idea about the state of things really, but if Gale moved there was a good reason.]

[It is Finnick, back home things were different. He could have lied smoothly.]

It's complicated but, things are better off without me in the way. She can make up her own mind.

[Other words, he will not force himself on Katniss, it may come as a surprise or not to Finnick that the quiet young man has feelings for her.]

How are you ever in the way? I think leaving the house makes it worse, don't you?

[He's not surprised at all the other has feelings for Katniss, she is just the type of girl to pull that type of attention.]

How am I going to come grab you to walk around and talk with if you're avoiding the house? Also what about the girls?

It doesn't give her space to figure out what she wants, I know her. She needs that, plus, I know...about them before.

[It is best, yet at that question Gale hesitates. What does he say? It hurts to be honest, he has enjoyed his time in that house. The new relationships that have formed. His voice holds more emotion than normal when he speaks again. Even if he does not utter the emotions that are making it that way.]

It's not like I'll be far, you can come get me at the Roadhouse and I won't abandon them, I'll still come by and be at the Safehouse.

[Of course Finnick leans forward when the video clicks on, and he stares at Gale. He just watches him for several seconds before sighing and leaning back. Is Finnick Odair sulking? No, but it's something extremely close to it.

Shaking his head, he sighs and then smiles.]

Well I wish you luck Gale, and yes if you stopped coming in to the Safehouse I think everyone would be worried. Just don't start hiding or I'll have to drag you out.

I'll come to you then.

[Gale catches that look, those eyes marking his heritage spark with a hint of regret in them. He never really had a guy friend, not till Finnick.

It was different than his friendship with Katniss, it was easy.]

You can always come down for a drink, I don't think Jo would mind and I'll be working there in my off time to help out.

Is that an invitation for a couple of drinks?

[Finnick sits up a little more and leans close to his bracelet.]

First couple beers are on you, right?

[The look, the mannerism it draws a sort of smile out of Gale.]

Yes and yes. Though, if you get too drunk don't expect me to carry you home.

[Except...he would.]

That shouldn't happen at all. After all I've had plenty practicing in drinking.

[Annie wishes that she was confused, but... She can understand.]

Will you still come and visit us at the house once in a while?

Of course I will, I think of all of you like my friends now too.

[She was a lot stronger than anyone gave her credit for, Gale had seen that since being here.]

[She can't imagine what it's like to be in his position. She wonders if he knows everything. Knows about what all happened to Katniss and she can't help but wonder if that had something to do with him moving out.]

I like to think of us all as a family... And you're part of it too, Gale.

[Gale did not know it all, but close enough to feel that he needed to go. Knowing she had been with Peeta here, had been happy, he was moving out of the way. Letting her have her space.

Annie's words however actually create a lump in his throat. It hurt and yet felt warm at the same time.]

I...thank you Annie.

[Annie smiles, understandingly. She has promised herself that she won't tell the others what happens back at home. She doesn't want to ruin what they've all built there.

But, Gale, it makes her sad to see him leaving their home, even though she does understand his reasons and can actually respect them, a lot. It's more than some would be willing to do.]

I know that we don't.. Really know each other well. But, if you ever want to talk I'm a good listener.
