Mécanisme 005 [Accidental Video]

[This video is started by Hugo attempting to scale a set of shelves to reach his jar of spare gears that was clearly a bad idea to place on the top shelf. As he sets his feet on one shelf and then one just above that, the bracelet gets rattled against the odds and ends of Hugo's collection in his attempt to reach the jar. 

However, just has he gets his fingers gripping about the lid of the thing, there is a sharp CRACK and  the shelf beneath his feet buckles where his weight was too much for it. ]

AHH!

[Caught off-gaurd, Hugo loses his balance and falls back, plummeting to the ground as his jar crashing down beside him. Gears, screws, and coils go flying along with pieces of broken glass and Hugo  quickly covers his face with his arms]

[Hugo grunts a little, lowering his arms as he rolls to sit up]

..y-yeah..I think so...

Are you sure? I'm a- [Feels a little weird to say "doctor", but the hospital did give him a job so he can try-] I work for the hospital. If you're hurt, I can help, and that was a nasty fall.

I um...

[He begins moving to look himself over, turning up his hands, scratched up a bit but nothing drastic, then frowns a bit at his knees which are scraped.

He hasn't fallen since he was little]

....It is not bad...

[He's more embarrassed and overwhelmed at the thought of cleaning up his gears and coils than hurt]

Oh, but you should clean those out anyway, just to be sure, and cover them up. Or please, at least let me come take a look.

[Gil is literally one of those people Nevy is talking about, who offers to help without even thinking about it or expecting anything back.]

[He squints around Hugo's face, trying to make out more in the background.]

...Its...a workshop...

[He's not sure what else to call it. It's not a proper clockmaker's shop like his father's, nor is it a shop at all, really. Just a place where he fiddles, fixes, and invents...and at odd times will sell something when someone is willing to pay him]

[He frowns as he tries to word it before finally turning the screen towards several clocks on a shelf beside a steam engine the length of a forearm]

Oh my goodness! [Nevy's nose scrunches up as she watches the ensuing discord.] You shouldn't have done that, that looked like a really stupid idea!

Why didn't you just get a ladder? [Considerate as ever.]

[Hugo frowns, dusting himself off]

I don't have a ladder

[Placing her hands on her hips, Nevy lifts up into the air a few inches off the ground, frowning.] You should have asked for one!

The network, stupid! All anyone ever does is ask for things on here.
