It seems like I've missed a lot back here! Cleaning is a lot more time consuming when you can't use time powers, I've found.

Quartz made such a mess of my room while I was asleep!

Oh, I guess I should say I never left but it feels like years have passed for me.[That's because it has, but details.] I'm a little sad that I couldn't stay back and witness more happening, but that's okay. I like it here too.

It was great though! I got to travel with many friends and it was quite the adventure on the boat we took. Nepeta! We got to do a lot together. It was nice seeing you again, and you looked very happy I think.

John! We finally got to meet. Although I think you got a little weirded out by me. [:(]

I had a question though. How many of you had special powers but lost them arriving here? Do you miss them? I miss mine! I think I can always get used to not having time travel, but I already miss flying. These wings are really bothersome sometimes. [She flaps them uselessly.] What kind of powers did you have? Or do you like the powers given to you now?

I find it inconvenient that I kept some aspects of being a rainbow drinker, but not all of them. I never had much to lose, aside from that.

[Sylph of Space is not the most useful of title-aspect combinations, after all.]

Kind of like how I kept my physical god tier aspects, but didn't keep any of my god tier abilities with it. [She doesn't want her wings removed despite that. :(]

I guess I did lose a lot coming here.

Flyin' and time traveling?

[Having useless wings would be annoying.]

You could just travel back and forth like you wanted?

Yes! I could fly and float and as a Maid of Time, I could time travel. But not here, obviously!

[Getting dressed is a chore, man.]

Yes. To some extent. If I wasn't careful, I could create a timeline that branched off and ended in failure. If I did it right, I created time loops that eventually would tie itself in. Time traveling is very tricky, but fun. [Even if she kind of created plenty of dead selves.]

An' if your... time loop? If that ended, you went back in time an' it never happened?

The time loop eventually ties back into the timeline. So the time loop me eventually becomes the original me. So I can make a bunch of time loops, and they'll eventually become me! Like if I went back in time and I did things but I'd eventually start back at the point in which I went back in time. That makes a loop. If something happens that diverges entirely, that creates a completely different timeline from the main one. I'll still remember the loop, because I created it, but it becomes part of everything else in its own way.

It doesn't sound like it makes much sense in theory, but I guess that's just how time traveling is. You can't really think it to do it.

It sounds complicated, is what it sounds.

Weirded out? How so? I mean no lie I do find you a little weird but I've never been particularly spooked by you or anything. [:|a]

As for powers. I had some freakishly cool wind powers before I was here. I could float around and everything. Completely gone here.

I don't think I could explain what happened. You'll probably get to experience it eventually! I guess something I said or did scared you though. [Was it the smile? It was probably the smile.]

Maybe eventually. But for right now I guess I'll just be a little in the dark as to why you apparently scared me. [Psh! He is John Egbert. He is never scared of anything. Silly Aradia!]

Oh man, yeah! You're right, I guess you would know that now if you've experienced some things. Do you like the powers given to you here? Or would to prefer your time travel and flying?

I'm not sure. You asked a question and I answered it and I guess you didn't like it! [Trolls are crazy. The reality.]

I would prefer my abilities from before. I don't have much use for what I'm given, unfortunately. They're helpful, but they're for support, and I do enjoy jumping into the thick of things.

[He shrugs. He knows trolls are crazy. Just. Not quite how crazy they are.] I'm sure it was something incredibly dumb.

I wish this place had some way to get your original powers back. Reading minds isn't as fun as some people make it out to be. [He looks amused.] You like to jump right into the action, huh? I think that makes you even cooler. Hopefully what you have doesn't hinder you jumping in.

I don't know how something dumb being answered would make you run though.

I think I would like reading minds over my power. It would be similar to hearing the dead speak!

I like action, but I'm also fine with sitting back. Sometimes, it's just really interesting to see what happens. There's a lot that can happen and seeing it happen. [LOOK AT THAT SMILE.] You get to enjoy it right in front of you.

Who even knows. Maybe I didn't like the answer, maybe that was definitely it.

Oh yeah, we did talk about that one time didn't we. I mean it really is a cool power once you think about it, but I would much prefer my wind powers over it. Hearing people in my head is not a thing I expected to ever have to deal with. What's a good word for what I feel about it...uh, it's kind of disorienting?

Nothing wrong with that! I think I just prefer to experience things head on. I never really took the time to step back.

I do miss my own powers. I wish we could have gotten a choice, but I guess that's not the point.

I don't use my powers all that much though, so having powers I would actually use would be helpful!

I think a lot of us did, really-- seems most people I've talked to here lost some sort of ability they used to have. Sixth sense, in my case. It's weird to just... completely not see or feel stuff you used to.

I used to hear the voices of the dead. It's very quiet not hearing them anymore. I kind of miss it a bit, even if they can be real drags sometimes!

There was probably magic involved. At my size and weight, I don't think my wings have the strength to lift me on the ground. But they can slow my descent if I was to jump from somewhere high enough! [She laughs a bit.] They're pretty thin, so it makes sense that they can't lift me up now!

She ate a lot of paper while I was gone. She also nibbled at my calender, but she couldn't really reach it thanfully.

We went on a ship to find treasure! You dressed up and everything. We even did a music intermission.

Is paper good for her to eat? I'm glad she didn't manage to get at all of your calendar, at least!

Oooh, that sounds really exciting, actually! I didn't think I was going to get to do fun things like that again, but now it doesn't sound all that bad!

There's a lot of you around. I've ran into many Nepetas through the dream bubbles. There's a lot to do even when you're dead! It's not like me when I was dead, obviously.

Well, you already know about my strength dissipating. However, you have said that Nepeta was well... despite the matter of being dead and a shade? Did... did we meet?

We meet very briefly. But we were also surrounded by a lot of other people at the time! It was pretty chaotic.

You must be around seeing other people, since I haven't seen you around a lot.

It was me, Vriska, Sollux, and Tavros. Then Nepeta and Feferi and John showed up later. I'm not sure what everyone else is doing. I haven't even gotten to our new friends either. The ones that had been waiting for us this entire time.

It sounds, from what you're saying, as if the world we were in fell to greater chaos still than it already had been during the meteor incident. If Feferi and Nepeta were there, from what I have been told there were a few of the dead present...

I wonder what it is I am doing.

Chaotic, but fun! There's a lot to do, even if people are dead. It seems that we all have a lot to do despite it all!

Perhaps you'll find out eventually.

Yes, well... it is immaterial for the moment. That I continue to exist is a bit of cheer, but for now we have what is here before us, and I prefer to focus upon that.

.. Why is everyone talking about special powers like they're normal?! I thought that kind of stuff only existed in manga and.. well, here in this place now!

[ Although she has special powers too, but she doesn't think of them as special since most people in her world have them.. ]

I think it depends where people come from. It was more common in my species. Lower bloods had a higher chance of gaining special capabilities. I mean, higher bloods could too, but it seems like most humans don't get that.

[Aradia is more used to it, especially with SGRUB being a thing.] Maybe it makes sense that the Gods wanted to bring people in who had more outstanding abilities. I find it weird that they'd take it away from us if that's the case though.

Exactly, it makes no sense for them to take people with weird powers if they just make those people normal again! It's like they're just trying to confuse us! [ yes, someone here doesn't like the gods a whole lot.. ]

I mean, I definitely think it's strange.

I wouldn't say normal. We still get gifts. I just don't really like the gift they gave me versus what I used to have.

But I heard that they do tend to do things like this. [Yanking their chain and what not.] They'll even curse us even though we're trying to help them in their war.

[ She isn't sure if she should say it, but.. considering the topic, she decides to, after taking a deep breath. ]

I heard that they once gave some people their powers back. But.. that went all wrong in the end.
